Its been a while since my daughter picked up her bow and when she said to me " Dad, I wanna go shoot", I jumped at the chance to spend that time with her!
We shot at my 20 yard range I have in the basement, and since its been a while since she's picked up her bow, I had her move closer to the target to get the "feel" for it again. I did move my other targets in the way of the sump pump hose, just incase of a "flyer"
After a while of shooting, I got kinda cocky and told her that if she can get her arrows in the vitals of the deer I would give her 50 cents per arrow. And if she wants to try, I told her to move back a ways and if she got that 1 arrow in the vitals on that one, I would give her $2.00..
Needless to say, she put me in my place, and I lost my money! It was so nice to shoot with her again and spend that much needed time toghter flinging some arrows.
Life goes by to fast, and when teenagers are busy with highscool, and cloths shopping, its nice to keep that fire lite about shooting some arrows toghter and spending some much needed quality time toghter...Enjoy the pictures..

There isn't any better way to lose money!
:)
I'd say it was money well spent. Good shootin'
that's a wise investment!good shootin'
Good for her! Looks like you got a bargain...
Nice basement range.
Wow, if I start paying all three daughters for their shots, all of Hades might as well break loose...
Seriously, shooting with your kids (and with only daughters I'm a bit partial) is some great time together.
As a father of 4 girls I love stories like that...Shawn
Two decades ago I made a mistake of not taken my youngest daughter hunting (11 yrs old) ,And then I never got the chance to do it again. Life Her MS ,Marriage ,Kids .
She's 35 now ,And the last time I talk to her about deer hunting she said
"And you never did take needed to "
Memory like an elephant .
You just keep those connections going, And maybe when you are old gray ,She will take you to her favorite hunting spot.
Good on you
Carl
That is awesome.
Nice way to spend some time together,Rick. And seeing as she was probably going to get into your wallet to go shopping anyway, she might as well earn it. Enjoy the time together while you can. Time is the most important thing a parent can give a child...though she'll probably argue that your car keys are more important.
That is so cool. God bless you for sharing. And your daughter has better form than you LOL! I am envious... my daughter will not take an interest. I think I may order a lite weight pink bow and make up a few arrows and try to get her at least a little interested.
Very nice. Thanks for sharing. I really liked the last picture. Except with me its the grandkids.

ask my daughter everyday if she wants a longbow so she can shoot with me,not yet,i hope someday!
Fantastic! Love to see parents keeping in touch with their kids. It will pay huge dividends later!
Money well spent!
Good for her! Good for you! Looks like great fun for sure.
Again....money well spent!!
Thats awesome Rich!!You are a lucky man.
Now shes asking to shoot more often today...I'm very happy and hopefully more sooner then later,we will have more pictures to share with you guys. :campfire:
You came out ahead by a big margin, sir.
Anybody else notice the big grins gave way to some serious looks when the wallet broke out!
That purdy li'l gal got all woman-looking when money started flowing...they'll clean ya everytime.
This time, it sure was neat and nobody hit the water softener! :)
Nothing like feeling the pressure!!! Imagine where she will be in a few years... I would say you have your priorities very well set... The payback will be even better down the road.
Over somthing like that, it would feel good to be broke! :D Cool pics! Jason
Ziss gavez me zee smilez.
Good stuff... thanks for sharing
That's sweet bud, looks like she didn't forget a thing from the last time she had a bow in hand.
Just plain great stuff! Time well spent. Good shooting too.
Money well spent, time spent with the kids is priceless.
Good stuff.
Good stuff Rick!
:clapper:
No matter how much it cost...you are still the big winner. Shhhh, just don't tell her.
My oldest daughter still has the dollar on her bulletin board when she won our big buck contest 8 years ago...money well spent!
Good day for you and your daughter. Nothing means nmore to me than spending a day with my son shooting the bow.
Money well spent.
A very great day for the two of you. Time and money well spent. My baby girl is 37 and I miss the early years. Good shooting
Priceless! :notworthy:
That's great! With a 2 year old little girl, I hope she takes to archery as well. So far so good, she loves watching hunting dvd's with Dad!
Good on you!
If I were you, I think I would just shoot for fun.
Looks like she could make a serious dent in your wallet if you continue to torment her.
Great shooting, thanks for the pics.
Neat! That money was very well spent.

Good for you and your daughter, too. Started our son at about 3 years old. He's 37 now and we still shoot and hunt together. I hope you get to enjoy the period we're in now: shooting with your grandkids, and the whole family shooting together. We go to several weekend shoots a year and it's great to see your kid's kids pick up their bows and go shoot that course again and again. A time I've anticipated is about to happen: a 3 generation bowhunt! Hope there's lots more to come!
Excellent!
man ya should have made it $10 i dont get out of Bed for $2    :archer2: :archer2: way to go Girl next time tell em more money.
