My son won 2 dozen Axis 400's in a raffle at a local 3D shoot. They are 26.5" in length. From what I've been reading here these may be too short and therefore too stiff for any of his low poundage bows. Am I correct? What weight bow might these be used for, in a traditional sense?
Yes they would be pretty stiff being that short.I would say for a bow cut past center and someone with a short draw shooting 70# plus. What I did with some old stiff arrows was to make them into flu flu's,they worked ok for that.
That is going to be a fairly stiff arrow even with a fair amount of weight up front. I shoot 400s with 225 grains in the front at 30 1/4 inches. Bow weight 57@28
I shot 400s out of my70 pound wheelie.
they are very stiff.
Well the Flu Flus sound like an idea. Thanks for the comments!
