Was wondering who out there really likes the old greenheads.
It would depend on the year head you are asking about, as over the years the design improved. There are similar heads now that are probably stronger. That being said, there is something to be said for hunting with those heads and a vintage Bear bow. Pretty cool, and the greenies put down an awful lot of game. I like em'.
I like the old Greenheads, and still use them.
I still use them.
Its all I use killed 2 deer with them last year my first two trad kills. One with bleeder one without I find them art yard sales etc.
I love em and use them a lot. I like the greenies better than the newer dark greenish/blueish ones. Those are too hard to sharpen. But, with some digging you can still find them.
My favorite also I always wondered why they quit making them
me
The old Bear Razorheads are easy to sharpen, fly true and have killed many a critter.
I hear rumors about them being made again, maybe by this fall. we'll see
I still have a dozen of the original yellow bear arrows with greenies on them from the 60s that my stepdad gave me about 10 years ago. They are so cool! Even in the original box.
With Bear's new interest in traditional archery again it would be great to see the original Razorhead return. I've killed a couple of critters with them and have no complaints.
I use 'em! Love 'em! would buy them again! Yes, I am talking about the older ones!
and make the bleeders again please...and keep them inexpensive!!!
Got my first with one...still have some in the archery box.
I am looking at my old Bear heads, there are a few dark green ones the rest are tan. they are very deadly for deer.
I used one on a woodchuck last summer. Great penetration and hole size. A little weak in the ferral/tip but a good performer overall.

I love mine
Well the reason i asked is i have 11 of them gathering dust if theres someone out there that really loves them would like them pm me you can have em. Id like to split them between to people to spread it out.
Just got some a month ago and really lovem, just need some bleeders.
I like them very well! PM sent.
Adeeden you have a pm 5 razorheads left guys
I have several that I've used over the years. Different models including the smaller 100 grain one that was a shiny green. I used them for the most part of 25 years (until 1995 or so) without the bleeder. Like others have said, they were easy to put a razor edge on -- I used vertical crock sticks.
These days I wouldn't use them because I think there are too many better made broadheads out there in terms of trueness and weight from head to head. I've had some of the Razorheads come apart upon hitting opposite shoulders. However, if they were made again, I'd give em a check-out. I think the Magnus Stinger is very close.
Broad heads are all gone guys. Thanks
The broadheads are gone guys. Thanks and enjoy
i love em they are so easy to sharpen and leave a good Blood trail.
Used them many yrs ago and they were good ones, but a few years back I bought some new. But I forget who made them now,or if they still do, but the green were 125gr and the red were 100gr, but they were not as good as they were when Bear made them.
