I have a black glass bow that I'd like to make look nice and cut down on glare. From what I've seen of onestringer's limbsations snake skins, they look real nice. I want to cover up both sides of the limbs. I know that limbskins will do that, but I think the limbsations may look nicer. I made an email inquiry with onestringer and the folks there got back to me right away and said that you can apply their limbsations to both sides of the limb. Just wondering if anyone has experience with both products, or if anyone has applied limbsations to both sides of their limbs. Any feedback at all would be appreciated.
I've only used his arrow wraps, they are top notch.
I have only used the limbsations, I have had a set of diamondbacks on a set of black limbs for 2 years and they still look good.
If I may ask how do the limbstations go on? I am interested as I have a beautiful osage longbow that needs a little camo to hunt these crazy turkies here :)
Man that cooperhead limbsation looks great, have to get a set.
Wapiti792, Go to the Onestringer web site, there is a video of how to put on the limbstations. I put a set on my LB last summer and it took all of 5 min. Easy to do and they look good.
I am a Limbsations fan-they are easy on, easy off and look great! Protect the bow, too.
For those who have tried the limbsations, have you tried them on both sides of the limb, or just the back?
Just the back, for me.
I have been thinking about the limbsations, but afraid they might look too flat. I guess that's the right description. It is hard to tell from the website but do they have any depth to the graphics? I saw a set of some sort of snake overlay on a Morrison at a shoot last year and it looked almost like a bad photocopy paper print. I don't know what the product was, for all I know it could have been a real skin.
I have a set of the limbskins and they are essentially a polyester cover you just pull over the limbs. They will camouflage the limbs and seem to protect the finish, but will definitely not look like a real skin if that is what you are going for.
I went to Onestringer's website and saw the limbstations. I see they have my favorite Predator. I could not get the video to play regarding installation.
Are these like tape with adhesive that are applied to either the back or face of the limbs. Or are they sleeves that slip over the limbs? Can they be easily removed and used again? I like the Limbskins but they don't come in Predator, at least not from 3Rivers that I can tell.
Thanks
They are a vinyl(?) sticker, both the limbsations and the wraps.
I see no reason you couldnt stick them anywhere you wanted. You cant reuse them, they will stretch out and loose adhesive when removed.
They will add weight to the limbs so may slow things down a bit.
i have them on both sides of my ilf target bow.they look awesome.i got the skull camo for something different and i am not dissapointed one bit...and they dont slow your bow any
I have a set of Prairie rattler limbsations-haven't installed them yet, but they look really good.
Will really make the bow (black glass) look good, too.
Haven't tried the LimbSations, but I have LimbSkins and I like them just fine.
I bought LombSkins because they are easy on / easy off and you can move them from bow to bow and not have to buy new ones.
