I am Considering getting my next bow dipped.what type of material is the bow dipped in and does it stay on pretty good? does the flex of the limbs (after a lot of shooting) not crack or mess up the finish? just needed some contact info on who does it and a few pics/examples wouldnt be bad either.. thanks alot seth
Big Jim..he is a sponsor. Call him and he will answer any questions you have...
Check out campdip in the sponsor classifieds. I don't have any bows that are dipped, but everyone on here had great things to say about Big Jim's Hyroraphics. Also, if you do a search on getting a bow dipped you should be able to find lots of other threads about it.
I'm about to have a bow dipped also as is my best friend. BigJim will be dipping ours. I really like the Predator Camo pattern. From what I've read on this site the dipped finish is very durable, at least as durable as the original finish. Clear coats are applied over the dipped treatment to protect the finish. Folks even talk about dipping bows with fine checkered grips with no rub off after years of shooting.
It is as tough or tougher than the original finnish. Heavy use won't affect it.
