Meet the latest addition to the Aneewakee Addicion line of bows, the Addiction longbow!
this is an absolutely wonderful bow, 56", 50# at 28". osage limbs, phenolic and osage riser. (http://i779.photobucket.com/albums/yy71/longhunter95/P2074352.jpg)
super smooth, absolutely no stacking, and really launches an arrow. :archer2: I'm selling my shrew to make room, plus the shorter bow gives me better efficiency at a short draw. she's also sporting one of John's slim jims, yet another great kanati quiver.
enjoy
here's a few of the whole family:

Luke:::Should be thanks for sharing YOUR pics :banghead:
the bowyer building the longbow is Roy Hall. that model longbow is only available through aneewakee archery.
That my friend is a beauty of a bow! Congratulations. :clapper:
thanks eveyone! happy to beat the drum for such a wonderfull bow, and John is a great fella with a heck of a product!
Congrats Luke, very good looking bow. Shoot Staight
I like it, good hunting with it.
Looks sweet
Love that osage! Congrats on the new bow.
I picked this bow up for Luke today since he was in class all day. All of us, Luke, Ian his twin brother, Me, his dad and even Anna their 10 y.o. sister shot the tar out of it yesterday. That was all it took for him to buy it. I am not a longbow guy but I am going to own one of these! I am waiting for a #55 to come in. Normally I wouldn't shoot a bow that heavy with my long draw but this bow makes you think your shooting a lighter bow. Unusual for a bow this short. This is one of those bows with a special sweet dynamic. It seems to draw lighter than it really is but pours on the speed on release. We shot it at 20 and 40 yards today and I was real impressed especially with it's behavior at 40 yds. A very stable platform. Shoots flat and hits with authority!
Very Nice.
Congrats thats one good looking bow.
that is one sexy looking stick
Nice bow Luke. I got a chance to shoot it some last friday. Your evaluation is spot on. I'm glad you ended up with it. Good hunting. Don
Good looking bow.
thanks don, I was sold with the first three arrows. :archer2: it represents my ideal longbow
oops wrong account..
Why in the world would you post something like that! Are you trying to be cruel? Just makes an ol man drool is all I can say. SWEEETTTTT!!!!!
Really nice!
Got to love osage in a bow, congrats on the bow.
Great looking bow!!! Congrats (http://tradgang.com/noncgi/graemlins/xxtaclap.gif)

Congrats on one great looking bow. Have fun shooting it.
Sweet! [jealous] Sweet!
i can assure you that I'll have fun shooting it :archer: hog heaven in may, and anything in between better watch out :archer2:
Great mass in the riser, nice grip, very smooth draw with no hint of handshock. Shot it, or one similar at KaZoo. VERY nice
Looks like a keeper.
The Roy Hall????
:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
Very Nice !!! I thought Lee Hoots was building all the bows for John???
Bill
Congratulations Luke!
Stunning little bow.
Nice hardware too!

Luke and Joe
Wow! Nice pics! Makes me want to buy one(LOL) Really enjoyed shooting with you fellas the last few days! Luke....I can tell you've been on top of your practice. Your shooting great with a controled style! Keep it up. Thanks for the nice comments. Enjoy your new bow!!!
Roy Hall and I have been hatching this idea for a year or so and we put our heads together to create a newly designed, sweet shooting short longbow. Roy and I have teamed up so that we can produce a bow called the Anneewakee Addiction longbow to be sold exclusivly through Anneewakee Archery. This bow pushes the envelope with radical reflex and short quick reacting limbs. We hope to have the web updated very soon with an extensive overview and pictures of our new bows. The Addiction recurve was a great seller last year and for 2011 with several new options we expect it to meet the needs of bowhunters looking for a high performance short recurve. I've been real lucky to work with Lee and Roy to offer two fine bows from two fine fellas. Keep an eye on us!
That is a SWEET looking bow, love the contrast between the osage and phenolic.
Butch L
Talked to John this morning about getting one with 58" limbs to accomodate my draw length. I'm pumped. Right there with Luke, Hog Heaven in May. Those swine are mine!!!!!!! Phhht, Whack!, Wee, Wee, Wee all the way home.
Very pretty bow! That would be great for turkey season!
Wow...whatta beauty. :help: Now my list of GOTTA get bows just grew again. :banghead: :banghead:
That is one eye catcher there! I also see a Slim Jim quiver in the not so distant future for my self!
Luke, how in the world did you happen to get ahold of the bow that was obviously made for me??? - LB, short, Osage, Slim Jim, everything right up my ally - worst of it is, I bet it looks got on ya too - :D ;) I have to give credit where credit is due though, you really took some gorgeous pictures of "My" bow and your other Anneewakee gear - you did good, bud. Fine report also. (Oh, Joe, you didn't do too shabby either - :p )
John, y'all have done it again and I'm glad you filled us in on the background. Sounds/looks like you and Roy and Lee should be up to your eyeballs in orders this coming year. You certainly deserve it, my friend(s). I'm like the other Olbowguy, I'm droolin' too.
Bernie, I was wondering when you were gonna get in on this thread. LOL DB
bernie,
I thought the same thing when i first saw it! she was made for me. :archer2: youll have to get quicker on the draw next time.... ;)
LOL - I guess that boils down to - when yer right, yer right, Luke. You really did set up some nice photos there. Those might even look good on John's web site - better watch that sneaky rascal, look how he snuck that bow by me - :goldtooth:
Oh well, that's what happens when one hiberanates in winter like an old bear - the young cubs beat ya to all the best goodies ;)
great! john has come up with another great bow for me to drool over! nice bow luke, im sure you will put it to good use. i trust you wont be shootin the pool again :biglaugh:
Bernie, All of us old jarheads know our motto: "Semper Gumby"-Always stay flexible, There is always another one out there for you! Bows are alot like women in that one respect. See you at Dixie Deer Classic? The boys are out of school that day so we will shoot Friday afternoon this year and beat the crowd. Joe
Wow, that looks like a really quick bow. Congratulations!
Yep, that's what's scaring me, Joe - now all I gotta do is hit the lottery or sumpin - LOL Sure is a pretty bow. I usually don't make the Dixie Deer Classic but can't wait to see the bow up close and personal. Looking forward to see you and the youguns at the first chance though.
Bernie you going to 1st sissipahaw? March 19th. I think we are trying to make it. Why don't you come up to Lenoir Co this weekend and shoot with us? T'ain't that fer!
If at all possible, Joe, I plan to make all the Sissipahaw shoots this year, and will hope to see you guys at the first one. I'd love to come up and shoot with you sometime but this weekend would be very doubtful, I'm afraid. Thanks for thinking about it though. What's going on in Lenoir County anyhoo?
Boy, I didn't think Luke would give up that Shrew he bought at the NC shoot last year any time soon. That should give us an idea of how hard this new Anneewakee Addiction Longbow by Roy Hill hit him huh? I can see why though, and none of us can own 'em all.
hey bernie lenoir county is a mixed shoot, but its a lot of fun, and a good setup. hope to see you there
Are you speaking of the one to be put on by Lenoir County Archers in Kinston, Sat., part of the Down East Coalition shoots, (that I used to be in)? Just curious.
thats the one...
Sweet looking bows
They really are, can't wait to see/handle/shoot one (up close and personal) that draws such interest and good comments from folks whose opinions i respect - and looks so "warrior ready".
(Thanks, Joe - they still send me all shoots and coalition info. I notice, this AM, that they finally decided the new Trad shooting stake color will be BLACK.)
The stake color will match my bow and humor!!!! Too bad I sold the super-dooty it was black too! My toyota isn't as sexy. We'll be down late, about 1:45 to sign up, Me, Luke, Ian, Anna and Megan. A new young lady shooter! Don't know if Dill is coming or not yet
Come to think of it, it'll match My Recurve Anneewakee Addiction, "Blackie", too. I've got family stuff going that will preclude me being there though. Have fun and get some good pics of Luke's Addiction LB in action for us, please (be sure to chase the "others/mixed" out of the pics though - LOL).
Looks like I can make the lenoir shoot! I need to get their early though. Probably around 9:30 got lots of work to do when I get back to the shop. Lookin forward to seeing everyone. Black trad stake? Thats the one thats set at 60 yards or more right(LOL)
Took some pics of the Addiction longbow today. Hope to load them on the web site soon.
While were talkin Anneewakee Addiction Longbows. We met this young lady(name escapes me) at Kalamazoo. She's holding the new Addiction longbow with the new Slim Jim pro attached. She was gracious enough to let us knuckleheads take a photo. (LOL)
A few bows and quivers at kalamazoo.
Just finished this quiver for Jerry Spera.....Were dubin this one the Dapple Harliquin Kanati Limb Bolt
(http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d22/johndill/Picture6546.jpg)
First 3-D shoot for the addiction tomorrow. We'll be there late around 1:30 or so. We'll stay for awards. I'll get yours and/or Don's trophy for you guys. Unless I get lucky and y'all shoot like Helen Keller and Stevie Wonder! Keep a good thought, right?
Let's see. Who would I be more likely to buy a bow from, the pretty girl in the first picture, or the two scruffy looking guys in the second picture? I think you may have found your new crack sales associate! Somehow that Addiction longbow and Slim Jim quiver just look better when she is holding them!
That's a big pile of nice looking quivers. I actually do like the Dapple Harlequin quiver, but it looks more like something my wife would pick for her bow so it would coordinate with the animal print clothing she likes to wear. I have a Slim Jim, and for someone like me who shoots primarily two blade broadheads, it is a nice little quiver with a number of distinct advantages. In addition to holding three broadhead tipped arrows in a very flat and compact arrangement, the holder for the blunt tipped arrow works very well and allows me to carry the same number and configuration of arrows I normally do but in a less obtrusive package. I admit to having other bow quivers I think are also outstanding that are made by a competitor, but it's nice to have more than one kind to choose from depending on what I want for a particular hunt.
Allan
I gotta agree - I think a lot of Lee (Hoots) and John (Dill) but you probably should have brought the new (blond) sales aid home wi ye from Kalamazoo - ;)
On the other hand Cindy might not have thought too much of that move - unless the lass does windows, or something else endearing. Well it dresses up the promo pics anyway -
Oh, the Black Trad Stake is still max. 25yds - it's just 60 for you, John - sorry 'bout dat.
Bernie
Window washer?....you trying to put me out of a job!(LOL) You'd be proud of the downeast gang shootin today. Everyone shot real well! Missed you and hope to see you soon. I think the Mcmillians and Rudy may chime in with a full report.
Outstanding, John. Looking forward to the reports/pics. Oh, your job is probably safe - since you didn't bring "her" back - LOL (Both jobs, come to think of it, windows and selling.) I'd have probably turned into an icicle as soon as I stepped out of the car, if I'd made the shoot, knowing me. I know the wind was really a chill factor here on the coast today. Glad y'all shot well though.
BTW that Dapple pattern quiver is pretty neat - kinda looks like a blue marl (Doxie or Ausie Sheppard) color :) .
Allan
Good to hear from you good buddy! That quiver Limb Bolt might match a few purses too!(LOL) Glad your Slim is meeting your needs.
Bernie
It was pretty chilly until noon then warmed up nice. How'd you guess the hide on that quiver? That dog used to chase our cows until I caught him. We boiled him for hours and still could'nt get that outback flavor out of the meat....so I skinned him and made a quiver!(LOL) You know Cindy would kill me if she saw this BS.
Eeeeee-ewwwwwwwwwwwweeeee! Cindy get the incendiary arrows out and straighten this cattle rustler out - :archer:
Great looking bows and quivers!
Nice bow.
i had a great time at the shoot yesterday. i was fortunate to run into the mcmillan clan as we were leaving the shoot, and got to see the newest addition to the addiction line of bows. luke i got to tell ya , you got one sweet bow there son. the pics that you posted dont do it justice. it has the pertiest osage ive ever seen. this bow is very user freindly for a short long bow. very nice , comfortable grip.its pointability was impressive also. i think imo, that if you're lookin for a short blind or treestand bow, this newest addition to the addiction line would fit the bill. john , i have to say you are probably one of the hardest workin people in the archery business, ,always lookin to come up with something new and innovative for aneewakee archery. i cant wait to see what you come up with next. i hope the mcmillan clan shot well and represented aneewakee archery well. lookin foward to seein everyone again soon. ruddy
WE had a great shoot yesterday, and Rudy youre right about the bow, newly dubbed "babydoll" :archer: . she did well by me yesterday, and although im still figuring out my gaps, I got a good opener of a 138! Ian also outshot me for the first time in almost a year! welcome back bro! of course he was shooting an addiction recurve...
it was good to see everyone, and hope you all stay well! and keep an eye on Eric tetterton, a new force to be reckoned with... :archer2:
Luke
Sounds good - er - what happened to the pics, y'all???
great looking bow !!!!!!
Bernie, Ian squealed about carrying the camera and we all caved! No pics this time, I think I'm going to have to carry it if we are going to see pictures this year.
LOL - geeze y'all are as bad as me - leavin' mine in the truck half the time. Well, take some pics of the whole fam damily, at home, shooting that new Addiction LB, like Joe said you did when you first got it, why doncha.
Wow, beautiful shorty guys.

I'll take one please! Oh I might be interested in a bow and quiver too. :D
Seein' that rock on the bowhand, I'd say that " set-up" was already spoke for! :bigsmyl:
Keith
Yep, saw that; some lucky fellar walking around Kzoo.
I'm gonna have to try one of those longbows out soon. I shot a few of Roys bows at Kzoo last year and was very impressed, one really stood out it was a 2pc. and if it would have been in my weight it would have came home with me.
Rudy, Luke, Joe
Thanks for the nice thoughts!
Bernie
You know nobody lives up to the master photographer....Bernie Dunn! :D
Ken
I believe you'll like this one. We'll play with the new longbow at Sissipahaw. And no.....the nice ladie in the photo will not be there ;) :D
When is Sissipahaw John? I'm gonna have to try and make it out.
I'll have to check their web site. Its sometime in March usually second or third weekend.
March 19th
Thanks Chris! I'll have to see what my school schedule looks like and see how far that is from here.
Thank you for posting the "eye candy". Sweet!
Who's the Photographer, Luke, Mom? If it is, tell her I said ,"Pul-eeze!"
If it's Dad, tell him I said, "Snap to, Marine!"
not quite, its Ian. mom was close enought though..
Luke
Helped your dad today chow down some pork chops and tune some arrows with a little more FOC. I think were gonna name him "Dr.Heavy Head" He's "likin" the change. :D
Hmmm new longbow, purty one too hope she does you well man if not i'll hold John down for you to give him a wedgie. I'll see yall soon at Sissipahaw or maybe the deer classic. Bernie, after all the junk about Don fondling Blackie i can't believe you are considering cheating on her :)
I see a new Spokes Model for Anneeewakee Archery...
Yep, Gator1, I have no doubt Luke will be, and a real good one too. Well spoken, well behaved, good shooter, and friendly as a big ol' Lab puppy.
Preston, "Blackie" is still muh "main squeeze" but ya havta show 'em ever now 'n then thet they just might not be the onliest licorice jelly bean in the candy dish. ('N then hope like heck it don't backfire on ya  )
Luke, OK, just to cover our bases, tell Ian I said "purty please" - :D
Nice bow, whats the brace height on that bow?
Very nice!!
Wow, I'm addicted.
