To any of you who have Wooltimate items what percentage is the wool to poly? Does it say on the tag? Catalog does not list it. Thanks, Izzy
Im not sure, but i highly recomend it for warmth and wind blockage
50% poly
27 % acrylic
23% wool
Thanks fellas, LL Bean has some tech wool zip jackets Im looking at and it is the about the same.
Doesn't matter, they are awesome. I used to wear a pair of cottons then heavy wools. Now just the wooltimates or ultramax
There is a 65 percent sale on a lot of their winter wear....
I dont know what the percentage they are, but my buddy has the wooltimate and cant say enough good about it... DB
Just got some when Cabelas had them on sale awhile back. I've used them 3-4 times now and they do the job, I'm happy with them.
I have Cabela's Outfitters Wool as well as the Wooltimate and I'm more impressed with how the Wooltimate keeps me warm. Let's just say, I like it enough that I sold my King of the Mountain Standmaster parka! (That recoup'd enough $$ to pay for my new Hill bow!) :D
I have been looking at the Wooltimate, and Outfitter with Windshear, I know from past experience if it is cold and windy, heavy fleece & wool won't stop it.
Good to know. I've been eye balling wool myself and know now is a good time to buy almost any type of hunting clothes. (everything on sale) Just tried cabelas and they are a sold out of my size on pants though.
Cabela has great deals on their wooltimate outfitter camo. I picked the jacket this weekend for $85, regular price is $160. The are sold out of the pants at this time.
Is there much noise from the windstopper in the wooltimate when the temps drop? I have other windstopper stuff and it gets very noisy when temps drop.
McGeeM,
There is another lenghty posting on this stuff and opinions vary, but I dont think its loud at all. As silent as pure wool, no. But, then again I used to buy Gore windstopper material and wear a layer of it under my Johnson Wool and Columbia Gallatain to cut the wind prior to finding the wooltimate. Compared to that, it is infinitely quieter.
Also after wearing them for over a season, what little noise there was dissappered. Another vote for this stuff. I think it rocks, especially for the price! With it on the outside, and enough wool under, there hasnt been a single day that I was worried about getting cold on.
