hello all,
quick question.. is any of the FF ype material easier on a bow than another or is just dependent on how much the loops are padded?
i've heard that 450+ is not as harsh as say TS-1
thanks for any info!
mike
Thats a tough question,I think D97 is alittle softer.I like 450+ and it has no stretch or creep compared to D97.I shoot D97,8125 and 450+ on my bows.On different bows some seem quieter then others,so I like to try a different ones if I have a bow that seems loud. They all can be harsh on bows not designed for them.Hard to say if any one would be harsher then another.
Depends on what you are calling "harsh". 450+ generally has a softer feel, but that can vary on the color and how well the dye was absorbed. 450+ has the least stretch of any of the FF type materials.
Personally, I don't think there's a dime's difference in how they affect a bow, as long as the bow and the string are made correctly.
thanks guys!!
what lbr said.
Theoretically, 450+ has the least stretch and creep, so it should be the hardest on the bow despite its feel...
HOWEVER, I also agree with LBR in that I don't think there is any significant difference. It really is going to come down to how the string is made and how the bow's tips are contoured. There shouldn't be any corners in a string groove. It should "flow" with smooth curves going onto, aROUND, and then back off the tip.
