The weather has been so terrible around here for so long, it's almost been impossible to spend any time in the woods. But yesteday was so nice, I figured we couldn't pass it up....so we hit the trails...
We had to stay on the snowmoble trails to be able to walk. Which limited our shooting opportunities, but we still had a great time...

keep workin on the burst. some cameras have a 3 round burst , which is usually more predictable than continuous. my cousin and i used my panasonic lumix lz8 on 3 round burst , and caught his glock 17c breathing fire.
i cant wait till my boy is old enough (2 in april) , to go out stumpin like that. hes gettin a bow ffor his birthday , but i dont know if he'll be ready this year or not...
a+ , they need to change the slogan to "take TWO kids hunting"
-hov
Nice little bow Cade has there and great pics.

  :archer2:
definitely a chip off the old block... Enjoy Curt, won't be long before you will be dragging that young mans first deer out for him. Looks like he can use your camera pretty well also, he got some good shots of you in action.
Great Day for sure Curt, what bow and arrow combination is Cade shooting these days?
Days dont get much better than that I reckon. Cade when are you going to come elk hunting with me buddy??
Man he is sprouting like a weed!!
Thanks alot for sharing!
Cade has better form than me for sure
Yep he's grown alot glad he still enjoying shooting.
Lucky you! Theres nothing quite as healthy as a boy and his pops outdoors enjoying each others company. Weve got a mess of snow with a thick crust. Were sticking to indooor batting cages for a nother week anyway and then hopefully Ill get both my cubs out for stumping. :notworthy:
OUTSTANDING ! Curt looks like Cade has an EXCELLENT solid anchor. :archer2:

You are both lucky boys!
Good day afield!
As a fellow New Yorker I can tell you this year I'm happy to have my snowshoes. Last few have been kind of cold but not much snow on the ground.
Awesome thread and pictures. Sir, that boy of yours has great form! Inspires me to shoot with my oldest son more, despite the Colorado snow. Can't wait for him to get home from school today, we will shoot together. Thanks again for the pics, very cool.
T Downing

Great pictures Curt! Thanks for taking us on a stump shoot with you and Cade. Northern Iowa kinda looks like that now. Cade's shooting a great looking bow, and his form is super!

Excellant! Very Cool pics as always! Nothin like stumpin with your youngin! Jason
Curt,
I always enjoy your pics of Cade and you. I am envious. I really like Cade's concentration on that first series of Burst pics. Looks like he has a good teacher. Good stuff here!
Ron
Nice pics Curt! What kind of quiver is that on his bow? Does it attach like the Thunderhorn 'Boa"?
Curt and Cade.......looks like a great time!
Excellent photos as well.
Curt - BTW - I like that vest.....who makes it and what camo pattern is that?

Curt: Thanks for the pics. Looks to be a good time. Went stumping myself yesterday with the dogs. Haven't trained them to take pics yet, but we had a great time. Your boy has sure grown since the last pics.

Thanks fellas...always enjoy your kind words about our adventures
The vest I'm wearing, and the hat that Cade is wearing are Proto-type KUIU clothing.
A new sponsor here...www.kuiu.com
Check out the site and the blog...I think you'll be impressed! I know I am ;)
Thanx again fellas :campfire:
Great job on getting out. The burst photos were great. You can see the reflection of the father in the son as you both focus in at the start of your draw sequences. Cade has great form, yours ain't bad either.
It is great that you two can spend time together like that. As so many of us/you know, they grow up sooo fast. Thanks for sharing.
Nice looking quiver Cade has!! Good job poppa, looks like a good quality day. Joe
Thanks for taking us along Curt!

Looks like you had a great day with your son. Thats whats it all about.
Awesome pics Curt like usual!! When I seen them pics it reminded me of times with my father when we lived in Michigan. The only difference was we weren't shootin from the snowmobile trails we were riding on them. I remember sitting on the front of that old Chaparral all night riding till I fell asleep. Seeing them beat down trails really brings it back, Thanks Curt you sure can bring out the best in people! I wish my boy wasn't in bed or we would hit the basement and shoot a little, got that feeling all of a sudden!! Great times right there Guru enjoyed watching! Chris
Looks like a great day
Wow! Once again great pics Curt. I always really enjoy looking at your pics and reading your stories.
Cade is certainly gaining some draw length!
As always, the pictures are great.
A bit of pressure to hit your target when the snow is WAITING to eat your arrows!
Getting kids in the sunlight helps them grow.
It won`t be long until leaving on an "away" hunt will be MUCH more difficult, because of leaving your best hunting buddy behind.
A couple boys and their bows. :campfire:
Thanx again fellas :notworthy:
:bigsmyl:
I sure will enjoy my 1st hunt with Cade in the future. :campfire:
I am hoping that I get to hunt with cade one day as well.
Cool stuff. Great job.
