So what was it :bigsmyl: And was it tillered for 3 under?
Any longbow....Firefly and Fedora xtrem niether tillered for 3 under
black widow pma2 62 inches 56@28..my nocking point is 5/8 of an inch.i shoot 2219s with 200 up front 712 grains.cant hear the bow when i shoot.i also have 4 small wool balls on the string.
Howard Hill. One was not tillered for three under; two were / are.
My Lost Creek NAT longbow. Quietest & smoothest. Tillered for 3 under. My Mikuta 3 piece TD is very quiet as well but not tillered for three under.
I had a Beeler hybrid LB and it was the quietest bow I've ever shot, period. It was tillered for split finger but I shoot 3 under. I didn't even have silencers on the string and it was still quiet. Killed a doe with it at 23 yards and she never knew I was around.
Any Morrison you want quietest bows hands down I have ever shot.
black widow PL shot 3 under - tillered split.
All of them
A Bezaleel Cougar recurve by Andy McCoy.
Not tillered for 3under, but I shoot 3under.
The quietest recurve I`ve ever shot.
Rob's Mohawk.
big jims thunderchild!!

All your bows shoot equally quiet. :dunno:
I have a 66" Mahaska Longbow and a 64" Zipper Recurve.....both are almost silent!! Both shot 3 under and not meant to be! Both are 49# @ 29"...
Border Super Reiver double carbon. Quiet as a church mouse, silent death.
My 62" fire fly has been the quietest of all the hybrid LB's and recurves I have had.
Most other bows have been noticeably louder to my ear. I would think most D shape LB's would be quiet three under given they are so inherently quiet in the first place.
That was my thoughts also about D shaped LB being the quietest. But theirs been pretty varied post.
Shrew Classic Hunter 56" phenolic riser/bamboo limbs, barely a thump.
My Pronghorn Longbow. Schafer very close second....Randy
Out of God only knows how many bows it's been my Big Jim Buff at 60"s and my Lost Creek at 64"s...I had a Mahaska at 64"s a while back and sold that was right in there....
Pronghorn longbow.
I have 2 Blacktails, one a 3 piece and one a 1 piece and with ff they seem pretty quiet. My Black Widow seems pretty quiet as well. I happen to have dacron on it, but not because there was a noise issue. I had an Adcock longbow that may have been a little more quiet, but not by a long shot.
Rick's BBO
Morrison Ilf Bar none, Longbow or recurve
Brackenbury Drifter non fast flight
(1) Sunset Hill longbow, tillered 3 under no string silencers.
(2) RER Retro recurve, tillered split fingers with
light rubber string silencers.
I shoot 3 under.
My selfbows, hands down the quietest bows I have ever shot. Glass bows can't compete. Selfbows are quieter without string silencers than glass bow, even the quiet ones, are with them. No contest in my opinion.
Selfbows are the quietest
Why would selfbows be the quietest??
I have to admit, I have 2 self bows that are quiet. I can't tell you why....I also have a friend who shoots an ACS with the Alum. riser. He has just 2 super string leeches on it and when he shoots if your 20 feet away you can't even hear the shot!
IMHO, i would say if the bow is a quite shooting bow and is shot at the right brace heigth it shouldnt matter. Bows at 62"-64" depending on draw the tiller isnt a big thing. But it is a bit better to have a "recurve" tillered for three under.
By far it has been my Mohawk longbow , 64 in. was more quiet than the 62 in. was .
wv lungbuster they sue do my buddy is always commenting how quiet I release
All of mine are quiet.

I'm with you on this one bro. :goldtooth:
The type of string and strand count makes a difference too, as well as the weight of the shaft vs draw weight.
My 60" Tall Tines is very quiet and my 60" Centaur is right there too.
My Timberhawk is quiet and it isn't tillered for 3 under. I think the old Ben Pearson I have is possibly just a bit quieter though. Never had any animal jump the string on either of those bows. Now if the arrow placement had been better..... :(
Habu Vyperkhan for me.
not even close. A 1964 Kodiak.
Charlie Lamb Sunbear Longbow followed by Howard Hill Wesley Special.
A Firefly longbow I used to have - definatley quiet even with 3 under.
It used to be my stewarts. Than I got a Morrison Shawnee with carbon foam Wow whisper quiet, so I have to agree with Longbow38
"MORRISON HANDS DOWN"
Sovreign Ballistic
All good bows are quiet, but better bows are quieter
I've shot two 64" Griffin longbows (58# & 51#)that were whisper quiet with 585gr arrows.
My son shoots 3 under now.............his ACS CX is still pretty quiet. Tillering for 3 under makes no difference to the amount of noise.
ive shot a couple St Joe River Bows three under they are great shooting and very quiet with any type of arrow shooting around the 50lb mark they where great.
Isn't quiet relative? That being said, my Lone Wolf Autumn Storm longbow is silent. If I did not hear the arrow hit my intended target I would hear nothing!
62" Dale Dye Trail's End.........it's tillered for split.
Got some vintage Bear Kodiaks that are pretty quiet as well.
:archer:
Schafer's
still selfbows. If you haven't shot one you don't know. I'm tellin ya'll it's a no contest.
This is easy, this is where a selfbow shines!
