Title: Hoyt Buffalo/ recurves in general?
Post by: DXH on February 04, 2011, 10:03:00 PM
Who has one? Saw a post on here the other night about a member who purchased one.

Wanted to know about the bows in general the buffalo, game master or dorado?

Im a longbow guy but i shot the Buffalo today and i was very impressed. It was very smooth and forgiving. I really liked the grip. If the price was a little better i would have one.

I shot one at 3rivers on the way home from kzoo. I liked the grip but that was about it. I am a big fan of the gamemaster. I also had a dorado for a few months. liked it better than the buffao.IMO the gamemaster is the best if you can get past the looks of it.

I actually dig the looks of it---I wish I could find me one of the Reflex ones.

I got mine just this past Sunday and I am loving it. I do not have any experience with either the Dorado or GMII though. After shooting my old bow for a few years and various other recurves and longbows at the club the Buffalo is hands down the smoothest bow I've handled. I am extremely biased though.

i own a gamemaster II, and have shot a dorado.  really like they way they feel and shoot, bet the buffalo is a winner too!  i actually traded for the gamemaster to be my bowfishing bow, but its so smooth and nice, ive hunted with it as well, even got my mountain lion with it this year.
