Is it my imagination or are C/F limbs, specifically ILF C/F limbs stiffer in feel than Glass/Wood ?
Not the ones I've seen. They seem kind of "whippier" to me.
I noticed that with Glass/Foam but found the Carbon/Foam no where near whippy.
Are the foam core limbs louder than the wood core?
Carbon ,glass seem stiffer to me. At least in my Howard hill.

That is kinda what I was thinking just could'nt put it into words...Thanks Norbert!
I think it has to do with the design/make, but to answer your question, yes they seem stiffer to me than glass/wood of the same wt. This could just be my imagination...
No but there awesome  I have a set of BF extremes on my Titan just love them.
I think the Geometry of the bow has more effect on the "stiffness" or "preload" then the material used.
For example a Proline riser that adds 10lbs to the marked weight of ilf cc/foam limbs draws much "stiffer" then a Black Bear riser that adds 4lbs to the marked weight. Both bows having limbs that give you a 45lb bow.
Carbon foam is very quiet; but not faster than carbon/wood. Yeah, yeah, I know 'speed' in a four letter word.
Cew,
that makes some good sense, going to try a different riser and see.
I like the smooth feel of carbon/foam, but I have nothing against bamboo or wood either.
