I have a friend that hauls the mail from the airport to all of the local Post Offices.
Well I just got off the phone with Bill and he tells me that my 1st 70" Hill bow has arrived in Ashland... Yehaa!!!!!
It's only 6am so I have to wait a couple more hours before I can lay hands on it.
I'll try to get some pictures and give you my 1st impressions as soon as I get it home, strung up and fling a few out of it.
Thanks for putting up with my rave!!!
God bless,Mudd
Alright Mudd. Good thing you made up some new targets. Can't wait to see the pics!!
Allright Roy! Waiting for the review.

Ha! Every week is Christmas for Mudd!
The rascal :p
Nope Maca... No sir,....it's not every week!
It's everyday as each one is a gift that I am so very thankful for.
So you see everyday is Christmas!!!
God bless,Mudd
Mudd: WE older fellows need a new Bow, every so often, 1 or 2 a month. Keeps the blood flowing. I like your style, my wife wouldn't though. Enjoy God Bless Dpn
Outstanding Mudd! Can't wait to see the pics!
You better hustle to the P.O. before that 20" of snow hits there Mudd. Be careful traveling to and from.
Hope You have a nice warm place to shoot for a couple of days. Congrats on the new Hill looking forward to pictures.
bretto
Anxiously awaiting pics and review.
Congratulations Mudd.
Enjoy.
I can't believe I just went out in a blizzard just to pick up and bow...lol
I was concerned when the Post Master handed me the PVC tube because I could see one cap had been broken and the end was taped over.
Sorry, gots to run...brb
Man, Mudd! Did you fall into an inheritance? That's three dandy bows in that many weeks.
Slow down, man. You've only got two arms and 24 hours in a day to shoot. :biglaugh:
Not rain, snow, sleet or hail will keep Mudd from a new bow!!!! Congrats buddy!!! Hope to see you Saturday!!!
I'm back!
Brad, I hope all of us will be able to make Sat. with all the snow we're getting.
Stumpkiller you are only seeing one side since I don't say much about what's going out the door...lol
Any who! Back to my report. I was pleasantly surprised that the bow came through unscathed.
I haven't taken pictures yet and most likely that will have to wait since I let all 6 dogs into the house.
It takes about an hour to re-establish the pecking order...lol I let them know pretty darn quick that I'm still the "Alpha"!! From that point forward it gets real calm and sleepy around here...lol
I did get 3 arrows out of it and I am pleased.
God bless,Mudd
PS: I never knew just how much a 2 inch difference can make in a bow and where you shoot it...lol
Now that I know, it's all good!!
Mudd, you know you can shoot in the house when thewife is away don't you????? HA HA Congrats look forward to seeing it. I will be in Columbia in a few weeks as well for work. Flint
Thanks Roy! I am relieved to see you made it through the storm!
It's midnight here...gotta hit the sack..now I'll be able to sleep. Its been a lot like pacing around the waiting room of a hospital waiting for a baby to come into the world! I'm exhausted..LOL :p
Outta have my head examined - see you all tomorrow!
Congrats Roy. Look forward to pics of the new stick. :clapper:
Congrats Mudd!
Mudd, you are the "Master" of moving bows without a doubt. You even have "a guy" at the airport to tip you you off to the movement of your bows! :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
Congrats and Enjoy!
Mudd, good thing you went early it's a mess out there now. Congrats on the new bow.
Sweeeeeet! Alright Mudd lets see some pics of your new baby!
Congrats Mudd, can't wait to see the pics!!!
I think this blizzard is going to have to pass before I can get any decent pictures.
Indoor pictures from my camera never turn out well.
Then the logistics in here aren't good since I'm sharing the house with all 6 dogs...lol
I truly have a real hillbilly burglar alarm system going on in here...lol
I have been able to shoot it quite a bit today and am finding the locator grip easy to adjust to.
I have only broken one nock.(Sorry Snag)
I started limiting myself to 3 arrows per round and am using all but one of the O's as my target spots.
I do have to pay a little more attention to my limb tips since my ceilings aren't all that tall.
God bless,Mudd
Nice mate !
A day inside withthe dogs and a new Hill sounds just about the perfect day !
Ya, Roy's the C.I.A. of bow movement. Got his minions out there keeping surveillance and reporting back to him!
Roy, looking forward to those pics.
Mudd, got to see the pics, man. You know suspense is not good for us older guys.
Congratulations on the new Hill Mudd!
I want to see some pics. :)
Darren
Roy, you sure know how to live. You must have a barrel of those Hills now.
Terry K.
Roy's "Minions".
Good one Wannabe1!
Nice one, Mudd. Good on ya!
Ah!! yet another one to ad to the line up, Happy 4 u Roy :bigsmyl:
:bigsmyl:
OK folks I am going to brave the wind and temps outside within the next couple of hours and get some pictures for the rest of you "bowaholics"..lol
God bless,Mudd
PS: Terry K if I had it my way there really would be a barrel full of them here...lol
Mudd -
I feel for you my friend. Even down here in Texas there's an inch or so of ice and the outside temp is 12 degrees. Wind is out of the northwest at 25 gusting to 46. Stuck in the house can't shoot. My wife is here so I can't set up and shoot from the dining room, through the living room, down the hall and into the spare bedroom. Stepped it off at 18 yards, give or take a couple inches either way.
BTW - still waiting to see some pics of the 70"er.
Here it is!!

Man! Those stink!
I never dreamed those could come out dark.
It's so sunny outside I can hardly see from the sun reflecting off the snow.
Any suggestions?
God bless,Mudd
That is beauty of a bow Mudd! I love the looks of the Cheetah. Perhaps one day, I'll find one in my line up. Congrats again on a great Hill! :clapper:
they look okay to me Roy ...
Beautiful new addition
The pics are fine Mudd. The bow is a beauty! I like the Juniper limbs on the Cheetah. If I ever get around to getting a Hill, it'll most likely be a Cheetah or Redman. Congrats on another fine bow.
Very purty Mudd, How do like the locator grip?
I tried again using a different angle to the sun.

Congrats on the new bow mudd.
Looks just like the one I had.....neet bow!
Lookin' good!
Mudd -
The bright sun reflecting off the snow background is causing a back light photo. The camera sees the reflected light more than the darker wood.
All things considered, pics are pretty good. Congrats on the bow.
Danny
Mudd,
Please send the bow to West Virginia so I can take some REALLY nice pictures of it (It was a lowly 52 degrees here today but the sun wasn't shining as bright here). Since the bow is not photogenic at this time, I fear it suffers seasonal depression. As part of it's rehabilitation, rest assured I will feed the bow plenty of arrows and when springtime falls in Sherwood once again, I will send it back to you  . Of course it may cost you a hat... Nice looking bow Roy!
Congrats Mydd.
Blizzard? What blizzard? RC
Looking good Mudd...congrats! :clapper:
Spanky
Mudd-
Congrats, the bow looks great! I feel for you man, that's a lot of snow, WOW. I live in South Florida between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton. And, today I was outside shooting in my t-shirt, shorts and flipflops. It's Margaritaville down here.
Darren
Congratulations on the new Hill. Glad you did not have any damage. Will be Spring soon enough and the arrows can fly.
Mudd, I can't believe that PVC schedule 40 tube was broken. That mule train mail service out there in MO is pretty rough on shipping. When I mailed it, the tube alone weighed 10 1/2 pounds. The mule must have stepped on it.
LOL.
Mike
Roy,
Looking forward to seeing & shooting it.
Nice Bow.
Go to white balance set, set it on the snow, go to exposure and drop down neg 1 or 2 clicks, don't forget to turn off that IAuto setting, and use your feet for the zoom. Even cheap digital cameras can take some good close ups in the sun. Works the same in the house, just set the white balance on something white, in the light that you are in, auto ISO limit to 400-800 or so.
Nice Bow.
Thanks for sharing Mudd!
Wow Mudd...you got another keeper buddy!
Congrats Mudd.
Super nice Cheetah. Except for the grip I have it's twin. Looking forward to the ongoing story.
I really like the heavier locator grip! That would be great for my big hands.
Roy, did you order that one special?
That's beauty. I thinks that is the deepest locator I have seen on a Hill.
Nice! Beautiful juniper! Whats in the riser? Sorry in advance if I missed it somewhere.
