Heres a traditional style haversack I just recently finished for a friend to carry on hunts... Thought I would show it off for input :)
Its made of a heavy cotton wool homespun cloth and lined with brown walnut dyed linen and beeswaxed, all handsewn with linen thread. Contains a journal, knife and fire tin

Ken,
Looks real good. Been thinking about making one for myself.
That is VERY cool. Thanks for sharing! What kinda knife is that? Do you sell these or was it a one off?
Dang, that is sweeeet! I really like the looks and the knife too. :clapper:
Thanks, guys!
Yes I make and sell them. I have a website.. Just started my buisnes and I make museum reproductions for collectors and historical sites all over the country..
I travel alot giving talks at forts etc.. and make things for people and my website and sell at events.. was doing it on the side for years and just started doing it full time.. Thinking of making more tradbow stuff

There are some folks out there, Hershel House, Lou Sanchiz (deceased) David Wright, Pat Tearney (deceased) Steve Davis, Bobby Thompson (deceased) Mel Hankla, Jim Rubley and me (alive) who are or would be proud of your work.
Thats some good stuff son. Keep it up.
yup thats way cool. i like that sort of thing would go good with my fire piston.
Im liking a possibles bag more and more when rabbit hunting. Would love to see more.
Nice job
Handy things. I have three and you can keep an old towel in them to turn it into a game pouch. Keep a few plastic bags to pack out a deer's heart & liver, or just load it up with your kit and cookware to roast a squirrel on a one-day "survival" hunt on the back hill.
Always good to know a source for handy items.
That is really nice, reminds me of a long hunters pouch.
very nice! and the knife is the extra eyecandy for sure.
Thanks again guys, and they are "Longhunter" era type bags.. I have many more Im working on and they are a few on my website..
