Lots of options for blinds on the market. What would be a good one for my 58" recurve? Thanks.
justin
Lots of them out there! I have a Rhino Labs, blind. it's just like the DB's and is predator green. I love mine and shoot my 58" shrew out of it with no problems
I can't imagine not being able to shoot your 58" bow in just about any of them. I don't have any problem with one of my 64" curves in my DB T-5.
Ameristep Penthouse.
Fred mentioned on the easton show that he digs a shallow spot down a few inches for his stool in the blind. This will help gain a few inches if you are concerned.
I know I had a little trouble shooting my 62" AMO bow outta my double bull blind. I mean just a little...all I needed was an inch more clearance.
I have a 58" AMO ILF setup and I have plenty of clearance to where I don't even have to think about it.
Gotta make a run to the PO because I got notice on Saturday that my 45@28 54AMO Bob Lee DarkArcher is there and waiting for me. Now I know with that bow I'll never even think about it.
Barronet Snake Eyes 350...160$ and is just as good as any Double Bull
Predator Den from Cabela's... is what I use. I shoot a 58" recurve, no problems. With a sale and additional coupon I got it for $110 shipped to my door.
I'm happy with it.
I have the Matrix and Predator Den, plenty of room in both for my 58" recurve and 60" longbow.
The Predator Den is a good blind at a great price.
I have a Ground Max matrix which is 72in tall. I shoot a 62in from my chair. I can also stand up and stretch when needed. They are about $150 I beleive from Cabela's.
I had the Double Bull recurve model $400+, sold it! I now have a Yukon Tracks Enforcer Elite in backlands west camo 70"x70"x80" 90" hub to hub and 17Lbs $200.

The Yukon is bigger, lighter, easier to use and way cheaper than the DB. It might not last as long? But so what, for the price I could buy them 2 to 1 compared to the DB! I have nothing negitive to say about the Yucon blind, on the other hand I had some problems with the DB Matrix 360 recurve model. ( Breaking rods at the hubs) I spent almost as much time working on it as I did hunting out of it. Some people love the DB recurve model, it's just not for me.
I love my Double Bull t2. Its so portable and easy to set up. Might be a little tight for some, but it gets the job done for me if I am shooting off my knees.
For the money the Yukon Tracks Elite is hard to beat.
I have hunted out of most of the above mentioned blinds. I personally greatly prefer the DB recurve 360 style blinds. I personally shoot better out of narrow but wide horizonal openings versus triangle or square windows. Something about the sight picture I guess. As for fitting a 58 recurve, all the above should be no problem. I think a 58" rcv is about 52" strung (not to mention the cant).
Yukon Elite, hands down!
While folks are making recommendations...my stats 75" tall and 63" longbow. My two choices are the Primos Ground Eclipse w/70" height (~$120 w/shipping), the Yukon Enforcer Elite w/80" height (~$165 w/shipping) or the Barronett Big Mike w/80" height (~$155 w/shipping).
Big Mike and Yukon seem to be about on par with each other with the Big Mike being 75x75 and the Yukon being 70x70.
Any comments on the above blinds? Will 70" height be enough?
what about an Apache Pyramid Blind

I build my own also. Nobody steals these, and the Wyoming wind can't blow them away.
These are built with 4 t-post driven in the ground, wrapped with heavy duty square mesh wire. A couple pieces of 2" plastic water pipe is added for roof support. Then it is covered with heavy tarp and camo netting.
This is something you can set up a month before season so the critters get used to it.
I have left commercial made blinds out for a couple months at a time, but the sun and wind puts a hurt on them quick.

Where are you getting this blind at that price?
