Made by Kirk Lavender of Big Foot Bows. Heck of good guy to deal with. Spent many hours on the phone making sure that this bow would be exactly what I wanted.
This one is Mac. Ebony with a curly maple 'I' beam. 59# at 27". Very very smooth draw, nice easy pull right to anchor. I opted for the recurve limbs for this one, I have also shot the longbow limbs on a Sasquatch. Both limbs fling an arrow with some authority. The arrows are 605gr. and hit like a Mac truck. Both limbs are extremely quiet. The recurve limb feels like it gets a little lighter in weight further into the draw.
Arrows hit right where I aim. Possible due to the fact that Kirk took a tracing of my hand and made it fit the grip. It is easily one of the more repeatable grips I've had on a bow.
Construction is impeccable, top of the line. Comparable to all the big names.

looks like a shooter!
Looks sharp. I like the looks of his I beam risers.
nice looking bow!
Pretty bow!
love the riser, very good looking wood.
Looks like a real 'Smoker' Love the strung profile of this bow  ..........IJ
That is beatiful! Great pics, shows off the craftsmanship real well. Another bow to add to the "want to shoot one" list.
Thats a beautiful bow! Congrats!
Congrats on a great bow. Kirk really puts his all into his builds and is producing some really fine bows. That is some fine looking wood....
Damn, that is pretty. I've got a couple of Kirk's bows and I believe you're right, BMG, that the closer to you get to full draw the additional weight you're pulling is going up but by a decreasing amount per inch - makes a wonderfully smooth draw. My arrows fly like darts out of his bows.
Good looking bow! Congrats and some fine shooting. :clapper:
That's an awesome looking bow!
As a fellow bowyer and personal friend of Kirks we do a lot of collaborating. In fact to the point that I am going to be the proud owner of his first (prototype) of his new onepiece recurve.
I was just recently informed that I will be the papa of a new 64 inch static recurve soon. I will be sure to give a detailed report when I get it.
Knowing Kirk and having shot his bows and him shooting mine I will say that if you are in the market for a bow that is one of the great bows being built today check out a Sasquatch by Kirk Lavender.
I will vouch for his bows being super fast, super quiet and of good workmanship. His designs and committment are top notch and he is a great guy to deal with, possessing integrity and honesty. You will get more than your moneys worth. God Bless you all, Steve
Oh buy an EagleWing once in a while too. LOL
Very nice!!! I love that riser shape. My "stuff I gotta have" list just got longer!!
"..and a looker"
That's for sure!! Beautiful riser - truly "eye candy"
kirk is a master craftsman and really does craft beautiful bows that work exceptionally well and have turned my head around ... i can see room in my ascham for a big foot!
check out the new and improved www.BigFootBows.com (http://www.bigfootbows.com) website!
Yep, these guys aren't to far from where I live. Good looking bows. There is a prototype carbon take down on Kirks web site that is a real looker.
Beautiful bow, best of luck with it. Like to try one of those out someday.
that is a cool looking bow!!!
Congrats! Nice looking bow. The grip and the forward riser appeal to me.
What is the bowyer's brace height range recommendation for the Sasquatch TD?
Thats it....something in my head just gave way and I officially cant take it anymore! :knothead: All these beautiful bows...new bows everytime I turn my head. I cant take it any longer! Im going to go shoot MY new bow now and hope I never have to see another bow like that Sasquach again! And really hope Im never forced to shoot one either! Once I see the new Robertson and the new stalker, thats it! :D Im done lookin'!
AWESOME BOW SIR! Ya got a winner, looks to me!
That is a good looking bow another one that I need to try.
Wow Brian, Nice review and great photos. I'm sure glad to hear it fits you well. :)
Thanks to the rest of you for the fine compliments. This isn't just a job to me, it's a passion.
A special thanks to you Rob for helping out so much with my web site. You did an outstanding job, and i enjoyed swapping some email with you this last week.
I think we need to do something about filling that spot in your "Ascham" bro... not that i really know what that term means. When i hit spell check it brought up ashcan. :saywhat: i sincerely hope you have a better description in mind that translates to some kind of bow rack. ;)
Wow Im going to have to check these out. Always nice to see a bowyer singing the praises of anothers work.
heheheh - 'ashcan' = 'ascham' as in 'roger ascham', author of the 1545 'toxophilus' ('lover of the bow'). an ascham is a tall cabinet for storage of archery bows, arrows, tackle. thank gawd for wikipedia! :)
I'll try and get some more pics up today. You got to see the limbs unbraced as well.
i think i'm needing a sasquatch in my ashcan! :D
That is a great looking bow!! I think i have something like that coming my way ... cant wait! If it shoots anything like the Sasquatch or the Splinter Hawk... it'll be a WINNER!
Great looking bow! I love the MFX arrows too, nice wrap and feathers!
