Title: FEATHER GRINDING?

Got a feather GRINDER for xmas.Do you guy use more than the pri. for feather? Got a bunch of feather in a bag. How do tell which ones are good for arrow?

What's a feather gringer? I've ground feathers of many different birds & helicals. All ground the same. You'll get the hang of it pdq on your bench gringer.

You can use any feather. The primaries will be more durable and give better stability. JMHO.

The long heavier primary feathers are best, and lighter shorter feathers for kids, flu-flu or shorter feathers. Group the feathers according to left or right wing and size, trim the part you won't use (front/back ends) and grind the part you will use.
