I just got this "new to me" Shrew. It's got dual shelves, is 54" long, and 55# @ 27". I don't see a serial number on it. I don't know if the ser. number might be under the handle. It looks like the original grip, and I hate to take it off.
Anyone with any info, like maybe RON, please let me know what ya think. Here's a couple of pics of it.......

lmfao thats pretty epic, hopefully Ron could help you out.
It might take a few days for Ron to reply, he's at the Kzoo expo this weekend.
it looks like one of the early prototype or early series Shrews, grip looks like the one i had which i believe is Original.
Never seen a duel shelf though
Nice edition Keith!
Back to the top. Figure Ron's back, and hope he'll chime in with some info for me.....Hey Ron, you out there? :help:
You've got an early Shrew made by Gary Holmes or possibly Randy Denel of Saxon Archery. I had some double shelf Shrews made in both recurve and longbow models in the early and mid 1990's, kind of like the 50's model Bear bows and others of that era. It looks to be Red Elm in the limbs. They were also made of osage and a combination of red elm, osage and walnut that I called Tiger Wood. It's good to see those old bows still in service.
Ron......."Thank you, thank you very much". She's still shootin' fine, just like my S.S. Gotta love them Shrews. BTW, do you still offer dual shelves? Thanks.
No we don't offer todays Shrew bows with double shelves. If we did we'd have to eliminate the form fitting grip that's either right or left but not both. Also a bow with double shelves can not have the shelves cut in as far as a single shelf bow.
