How can you tell if a bow was tillered 3under or split? (in my case, 2 under)
Can nock point adjustments help if a bow was tillered for a different style of release?
just adjust the nock point until it shoots right for you. most are tillered split. 3 under is tillered just 1/8" off usually and a little nock adjustment will fix it.
Overspined has it right. You have to tune the bow to your shooting style.

Actually 3-under is tillered even. Split finger is tillered around 1/8" positive in the upper limb.
I never worry about it. I retune every used/new bow from scratch as soon as I get it. Brace height, nock point, arrows, strike plate....everything. You have to tune the bow to You!!! ....I've been shooting 3 under for 20 years and over a dozen bows and dont think for a second on weather they are tillered for 3 under or not.
Thanks Guys: I know why I like this forum so much, learn something new every day. Always tune every bow too me, new or used. God Bless Don
I appreciate it. I have a bow on the way and felt silly for not asking how it was tillered.
When you get the bow, measure the distance perpendicular from the string (when strung), to the fade out of the riser. Take top and lower limb measurements, to the same point where the riser ends & the laminations for the limbs meet. I am assuming this is a one piece bow. It could be a little different with a takedown. The top measure will be 3/16 to 1/4" greater on the top. The tiller could be less, but should never be less than zero.
