Not too long ago Steve H. and Steve O. sponsored a giveaway of a sponsorship for one years dues to the Professional Bowhunters Society. Many fine folks won one of these sponsorships and thanks to all who participated. I was not one of the ones who's name was drawn.
Little bit of time passes and I receive a wonderful PM from my friend Whip here on TG. The PM was a personal invitation to explore further PBS, what the organization stood for, and if I was interested to join.
To have a friend who I had the privilege of sharing a huntng camp with take the time to send such a wonderful invitation speaks for the type of indiviuals who populate the PBS ranks.
Finally tonite I had the time to click on over to the PBS site and joined as an Associate Member. Just wanted to say "thanks" to Whip and how excited I am to embark on my journey at a member of PBS!
Welcome abord John!and thank you Whip for recruting new bowhunters.
Good for you John. I think you will be pleased.
Good for Whip for being that kind of a friend.
Like the member profiles say, "You Are The PBS!"
It is a great group of people, and I love to share that with friends. Glad to hear that you took that step - I am confident that you will be happy that you did :clapper:

Welcome to the family!
It is hard to spend time with guys like Joe and NOT join. Every PBS member I have spent time with is like that
Welcome John, Glad to see you made the choice to become a member!

Excellent, welcome!
Some of the best people in my life belong to PBS.
Welcome John. You couldn't be in better company.
Welcome John. I'm sure we'll talk at our campouts.
Thank you all for the warm welcome.
....and a warm welcome to other the new PBS members!!!
John,
Like you I wasn't drawn, but took the time to explore the PBS web site and joined. I only wish either I lived in the mid-west or the PBS and others would come to the north east. I do pray that I have a chance to meet some of the members and other tradgangers also.
Regards,
Rick [Grouse]
Whip went above and beyond -- again. Earlier this week I got a PBS magazine and a letter telling me that I was a brand new member, but I hadn't applied for membership...? After a phone call or two, it turns out Whip signed me up. He figured I ought to belong, and if I wasn't going to make the effort to sign up, he'd do it for me.
The guy is generous, thoughtful, and dedicated to traditional bowhunting. Great stuff. And I consider him a close friend and top-drawer hunting buddy. Just doesn't get any better than that, does it?
Now it seems that I have the opportunity to pay it forward. Now who do I know that ought to be a PBS member, too? :)
Welcome to the PBS family. I look forward to meeting you. Mark
Welcome to the PBS family
 As good as it gets belonging to the PBS...!
