Title: Kazoo or Bust!
Post by: htaylor3 on January 25, 2011, 08:30:00 AM
Based on sage advice from this fine group, number 2 son and I are going to make the road trip to Kazoo.
I've read the posts about expo and think we're set for a great day. Cash is a little tight right now, so I don't think we'll be bringing bows home. However, as greenhorns in this game, I'm pretty sure the education and exposure will be priceless.

I don't know if I'm more excited because I'm going or for the fact that my Jacob turns sixteen on Friday and when I asked him what he wanted to do for his birthday weekend, he said, "How about just you and I go to that bow thing you've been reading about?". Looks like cake and Taco's on Friday and a 0530 departure on Saturday! Life is good!

Hoping to meet some of you guys up there!

Music to a Dad's ear. Have a safe drive and see you at the show. Happy birthday to the boy.

I'm really looking forward to meeting and talking to as many tradgang guys as I can find. Not sure how I'll spot you. However, you guys are all hunters, so I should be easy to spot. I'm sure I'll have a deer in the headlights look!

Huh..I posted this once before..

Have a great time with your son Hank! It'll be a lot of fun for both of you.  You don't need to bring a lot of money...just play with all the toys there.  Learn alot!  Then you will have a good idea what to buy when your ship comes in..

I'll be heading up there from Rockford.  And taking my father-in-law, who doesn't have any interest in archery... but wants to see the expo!

That is really neat of your son that he made you part of his birthday wish. Enjoy that while you can, they grow up so quick and their interests seem to shift the older they get. You'll both have a great time in Kazoo. Safe travels. I'll be there Friday at 5pm till close then Saturday for a while. Hope to make a visit to Bell's at some point Friday night!

I think we need TG ID's for these events.  Someone needs to make up some TG buttons with our avitar and forum name.

Drive safe everyone!  I hear there will be a little snow flying Friday night and Saturday.

Remember we need to see lots and lots of pics when you guys get back. This is for us unfortunate ones who can't be there.
