Hey all I picked up a new Alaskan Bowhunting Supply Skookum glove while at Lancaster Archery Supply yesterday. Haven't tried it yet but seems to be well made. Anybody use this glove and what are your thoughts on use and durability?

I've been using the Skookum glove for several years now.Best glove out there in my opinion. But that being said, it seems of late that they changed manufacturers because the material on the fingertips seems to wear out alot quicker than the older models. At least that has been my experience with them.
Been wanting to try one of these myself, maybe its time.
1/4 away maybe your just shooting alot more and by-the-way hows that HOOTS?
Chris, maybe...LOL The Hoots is doing just fine. As a matter of fact I am in line for one of Lee's t/d's.
Nice choice, gotta run over to Lee's today before he heads to K-zoo and check out all his bows that he is taking. Been thinking about the t/d myself and the bad thing is when you go over to his shop he has to many bows to choose from and you want one of them all!!
Forgot to add-- what is the material used in the Skookum gloves?

MegaTuff, an industrial grade synthetic material on the finger tips. MegaTuff is incredibly smooth, has the durability of cordovan leather but allow the bowhunter to "feel the string".
Does it feel as thin as a Damascus glove or alittle thicker like a Duraglove any comparisons?
It's not as thin as a Damascus IMO. Never shot a duraglove so can't compare but it does allow good feel of the string.

Good input so far...The reason I bought the Skookum glove was you can really feel the string. The glove seemed like it had better protection for your fingers versus something like the Berlin or Damascus glove.

Man I hate to be the bearer of said tidings but I purchased the Skookum Glove around the 1st of this month and have already worn through the covering on the middle finger! I shoot a lot I know but I shoot 45# mostly and a cheap glove will last me several months. I bought the Skookum from a web site and contacted them. They suggested that I call the manufacturer first since it was obviously a manufacturer's defect. Understandable, eliminate the middleman, get the glove faster. When I called the manufacturer they wouldn't even hear that it was from one of their dealers, just that I didn't purchase it from them. That lady had me so tickled and finally I was laughing so hard at her hem-hawing that I just had to hung up the phone. Don't they use suppliers like everyone else? Long story short, when I called the supplier back, told him what happened, and he started laughing too. He said he'd go ahead and send me a replacement that he had more confidence in, even sending me a post-paid envelope to send the old one back in. Now THAT'S great customer service!
I love the Skookum glove and sure hope there isn't any durability issues with the newer ones. Mine has lasted for a few years now but is starting to show a liitle wear so I'll be do for a replacement sometime soon.
