Their I was it was 9 degrees out,I had a quiver full of freshly sharpened Magnus I's on some Twig poplar shafts that made up. My old Browning wasp at my hand, I never hunted much with it and almost sold it but I decided to keep it just to have and shoot it was the first trad bow I ever got and was newly determined to gwt a deer with it. Started out by getting winded by a doe who came in where they never come in directly to the NE of me. I thought yeah great way to start this one out well about an hour later I saw 2 deer coming then 3 then 5 then I all of a sudden had 2 button bucks and 8 does at 12yds. Their were to many eyes I couldent draw finally I had one singled out the closest she was alone and I wouldent risk hitting another deer on the shot.Well as another doe was making her way in evry head turned that direction (directly away from me to the north) and I picked a spot drew and released "The poplar shaft flew as if it had eyes" pinringed her diden't go 50yds. had to track both halves with the Magnus I. My buddy Morgan Anderson and I cut a meat pole, hauled her out of their, and gutted her a little ways from the stand. Glad I diden't sell that one now.

thaks all, Wannabe1 are those arrows simple enough for your build along, I like em like that. I had to dig that one out of a root of a poplar tree, poplar shaft stuck in a poplar tree root ironic huh?
Congrats on the doe! See, I told you you would miss that bow if you sold it.
Nice! 9 degrees.....bbrrrrrrRRR! :)
Very nice, wish our season was still open.
Congrats, it was a cold day today :clapper:
How cool is this? Way!! I'm saying...
Thanks for sharing your story and pictures with us.
I can feel you happiness at taking game with your 1st traditional bow. It just comes through in your writing.
God bless,Mudd
Congrats on a late season successful hunt, couldn't have scripted it any better.
E
Man I envy you!
Nice bow, and nice deer, Levi! Very classy! Congratulations! But, what's with your signature? Neck shots are not recommended when bowhunting, and are even risky with a rifle.
Congrats, way to tough it out.
Ben Kleinig, It's something I say JOKINGLY to my gun huntin buddies because I've only shot 2 deer with a gun when I was 10 and 12 and I shot them both in the neck and they dropped on the spot but I don't gun hunt much at all unless on a deer drive for a younger buddy of mine or something.
Thanks to all, and to all in advance!
Well done, congrats.
Nothing like taking an animal with your first bow.
Congrats on a nice doe.
Congrats on that late season doe. Them old bows can still do it.
Congrats on your kill!
Congrats I also took a doe last thrusday night man was it getting cold.
I have one Wasp too. It was my first "real" bow. Dad got it for me for Xmas. I killed my first deer with it. I've been thinking of taking it out hunting again. It is in mint condition.
Congrats,it takes passion to hunt in that cold and the satisfation is double hunting with an old bow.
Nice job,congrats
Levi, congrats on the deer. Just so every one knows it was 9 degrees with a steady 10mph breeze yesterday. I did not even want to go out and bring fire wood in...
Congrats Levi, I also have a Browning Wasp that I have never bloodied yet. :campfire:
That will happen someday :archer:

Way to go man!Sounds like a good spot to try again.
Thats the ticket !

Great shot on a great doe! Way to go in braving the weather and hanging in there after the first deer winding you. Nice story, short and sweet.
I have a Browning Wasp too. I have it set up for bowfishing and it rocks. Very hard hitting bows. Glad you didn't sell it!

Awesome stuff. Congrats!
Way to go Moose eye. I thought about braving the cold but HAD to take eagleeye to the movies. lol. It sure was cold that day. I'll be heading out myself this weekend. Not much time left and I need another doe in the freezer.
Congratulations on a job well done. Nice pic!

Beautiful beast for sure. Nice shot, nice picture, and great job!
Congratulations!!!
Thanks all...Charlie been pretty good, how bout yourself.
Was out your way looking for a deer just like that one, but had to come back home. AEP site was all closed up for the season I suppose. I was looking forward to some quiet hunting in SE Ohio, but it didn't work out. I might be headed out that way for the last weekend of season though.
Take care, all is well here.
Good deer man.. Congrats!
Todd
I'd love to have one of those old Brownings. Never shot one, but from their appearance they are better made than a bear from that era. Way to go Man!
Charlie glad all is well,I never knew they closed it I thought it was open year round, guess I learned something. Good luck if you get out again. Take care
Thanks again all.
