i didnt make it out this fall but hopefully ill be going out hunting this coming fall with my recurve. does the left or right wing bevel make a difference as long as you match up the feathers correctly? since this will be my first year hunting with a recurve should i just stick with a simple double bevel or go for the extra performance of the single bevel? Im probaly gonna start fletching my own arrows and i need to know what style broadhead i should get so that i buy the correct fletching jig
Either single bevel is fine when matched with the right feathers. You will also have no problem with quality double bevels.I would definitely keep it as simple as possible and concentrate on on tuning, shooting and putting it in the right spot.Sharpening ranks right up there too.
The "Search" feature above will give a world of info that will help you make your own personal choice. Good luck on your up coming year.
Worrying about "bevels" is wasted mental energy...Use what you can get sharp!
For me, I prefer the "extra performance" of a big 3 blade head.
...even using the "WRONG" feathers a sharp broadhead with get the job done. Super sharp and flying true are much more important than matching the fletch.
What Curt said.....and I'm seeing an obviouse pattern here the last couple of days.
