Here's a couple I have. Not sure they are custom.

those look good. i wasnt nessasairily meaning custom as in you pay someone to make them for u. i meant a 1 of akind or kewl looking quiver
I made these two. BOTH double layered with a lining on the inside at the bottom AND the lower 4" of the sides to protect the archer from broadheads should they be used with such. Many back quivers are too flimsy at the bottom.

Here's the first one I made 20 years ago that I still use:

One I made for a good friend's birthday:
And the one I made for the St. Jude's auction last year:
As you can see, I'm kind of stuck on one design!
Brian
those are beautiful, brian! :notworthy:
i like your backquiver design bctgrad. very nice
Hey Steven I posted kind of a "build along" for the St. Jude's quiver I made last year. I'm not saying that my way is best, but it might give you some ideas if your thinking about building one.

I have added a few little things since this pic but you get the idea. I made it out of 8.5 oz leather. This one will last a long time.

Mink fur from an old mink collar I got from an antique store.

last one Back Quiver (http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh305/jeffburg/0022.jpg)
man. you guys are crazy good at makin stuff.
TW The top quiver you have is exactly like the ones I made and sold for a long time. I lined the mouth and the bottom of the quiver with sheepskin and triple bottomed the leatherl 'they also had brass or antler saddlering adjustments and most had antler burr buttons on the sheepskin. A lot had a pocket and knife and file scabbard. I made and sold a lot of them , In fact sold them faster than I could make them. I finally qukit because I could not keep a sourse of good heavy oil tanned leather. 8 oz or better. They require a lot mor time and work than most people realize. Anyway I would almost bet that is one of my quivers. If so they were not cheap.
Charles, Those otter quivers are really neat Bro. I have always wanted an otter case for a bow. funny I never thought about a quiver but they are perfect.
God Bless, Steve
Steve, PM sent.
TW, Nope not mine then. Just like them though except most of mine did have a pocket, three to four antler burs and a lot had the knife and file sheath. Also mine had a side strap which keeps the quiver from sliding around. Yours looks just like one I rememberd making though. God Bless You and good hunting, Steve
I sure would like to see one of the ones you made. Be nice to keep my eye out for it if it came available.
I love em Jeff B.
here is a link to some of what I have done over the years..I lost files to my really good stuff
leather (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v78/razorbak1/new%20leather/)
Another quiver I made of bison leather. (http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o244/2crazyboys_photos/IMG_0907.jpg)
Where the pic Izz?
Never mind I see it now!
LOve this one. Custom made for me. The arrow on it looks just like the ones I use. Has my initials up top, and the Bear Archery logo.

Bill, that is probably the best looking hip quiver I've ever seen! I really like that one!! :clapper:
Bill, that carving looks great.
Did you do it?
Jason
This is my favorite plains style quiver and is the 1st one that I built.Again, bison leather and a bison tail. (http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o244/2crazyboys_photos/DSCN2105.jpg) (http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o244/2crazyboys_photos/DSCN2104.jpg)
Lots of nice gear there fella's, given me a few idea's and motivation for my next project. Here's some of the gear I've made
My first tooled leather projects
(http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff55/jackoarcher/beltquiveraccesories.jpg)
2nd and 3rd tooled leather projects - Pocket sized Quivers - made for my Daughter, depicts Winnie the Pooh Bowhunting a very cagey Dumbo. 2nd - as close as I'll get to hunting Cape Buffalo
(http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff55/jackoarcher/pocketstylequiver.jpg)
my next tooled leather Quiver project depicts Australian native flowers - someone made a generous offer so I sold it.
Made this stalker style Quiver from scrap and recycled leather - someone liked it more than me so I sold it
(http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff55/jackoarcher/QuiverandArmguardset1.jpg)
This one was a real pain, took me over 50 hours to make - sold it too. See the pattern with making nice Quiver for myself
(http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff55/jackoarcher/frontview.jpg)
My mates gives me heaps about this Quiver, they reckon it looks like Mr Socko instead of a Snake
(http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff55/jackoarcher/Finished4.jpg)
Any one own a Black Widow, just sold this

regards Jacko
Awesome craftsmanship,everyone.
I've made a few too, but I can't post my plain jane ones next to you guys! This stuff is great!
Almost anything can be made into a quiver. My first was made of a plastic jar, cardboard, and some fake suade, at about 8 years old maybe. My next was a simple hip quiver tube, maybe 12. My last was a modified plains style quiver with 6 sleeves for broadheads (at 40).
I've got leather out the wazzou, but nearly anything can make a quiver. I like the elm bark ones posted, and I've seen birch used the same way. The Native Americans also wove quivers outta reeds, and you could do the same with many natural materials - like honeysuckle. I've also seen some cool ones outta trade blankets. Be creative; I've got some neoprene sleeves cut off of a wet suit. Anyone wanna blue quiver?

Nice looking work.
I have a quiver I won at a St Judes auction. The fella made it out of bamboo (bamboo mat) and leather.
It is by far my favorite quiver for anything other than hunting. I use it all the time.
Here are a couple that I made:

I am so impressed by the other quivers posted to this thread! I guess that a love of crafts is pretty common among us trad bowhunters!
Well, I'm impressed. There are some very nice quivers shown here. You can't make some things to sell because they would be too expensive. It's great to see that we have such great craftsmen amongst us. :clapper:
I wanted to bring this back to the top, in case anyone might want to add more.
love the look on all homemade stuff. thats the real great part of trad. archery.
Some really awesome looking quivers! Here's my humble submission, made out of a 3" diameter piece of bamboo:
how does everyone imprint there leather to show desighns like deer or buffalo???
Its called tooling, a whole art in itself. Involves dampening vegetable tanned leather, tracing patterns onto it and using special tools to create patterns(like deer and buffalo) The Tandy Leather website gives free vidoes and how to's. It will get you started.
Lots of talent at this site. Here are a few I've made over the years. Migra Bill it looks like you and I have a similar idea. NICE!!! (http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll292/toxo-collector/archery325.jpg)
I finally wore it out. That pants-leg quiver saw more service than any quiver I own. Lasted about fifteen years. Not bad for denim, woven cotton string belt, old arrow shaft stiffener and two binder clips.
Maybe I'll patch it.
