Title: Hunting boots- Justin work boots... what to treat them with?
Post by: jlbpa on January 19, 2011, 10:02:00 PM
I've had dunham boots I treated that liquid silicon and I've had red wing boots I treated with red wing boot oil.  What do I treat my Justin boots with?

mink oil, red wing boot oil?  Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Jim

It is important to follow the manufacturer's direction, because of the tanning process. I like Montana Pitch Blend (mink oil & beeswax), or Obenauf's (Idaho), heavy duty. Clean with saddle soap and let dry.

3rd to sno-seal. I can't stand my Justins, they are now in the back of the closet and my red wings are on my feet....my wallet hurts though!

I haven't worn em all but Justin's are the cat's meow in my opinion...a little mink oil ever now and then and thats all you need

I have a gripe about Justins too.

On the boots I have and the others I looked at there is no heel cup.   It's just straight allowing the heel so slide up and down.     When they wear out I'm going back to redwings.
