I've had a lot of guys asking when I was going to get the 1 piece longbow form dusted off and back in action. I started building some towards the end of '10 and have got 4 models out now, The Bandit (straight accent stripes, handle in action wood, camo version shown), The Renegade (Chevron shaped accent stripes, Charlie was building this bow under the same name), The Banshee (footed handle) and adding to the Schleyer line, the one piece snakewood, ebony, ziricote backed and leopard wood belly (I'm also building a Schleyer in the takedown longbow). I'll have the bows at Kalamazoo for you guys to start shooting.

Are you sure those pictures are legal?!?
They look great! I'm sure they will shoot as good as they look.
Peter

I found another supplier for actionwood, I'll have to check in on the green. I don't remember if they have that as a stock color, they did say they'd lay up whatever I wanted though. I'll be bringing 4 td recurves, 4 td longbows and 4 1 piece longbows. 3 rights and 1 left of each. Stop by the booth, I've got a couple hundred posters I'll be giving away FREE to guys who are looking for something for their man cave.
Just put my name on one of those posters and I'll see you Friday night! I have to beat my buddy KHALVERSON to your booth. How long are these bows? What weights are you bringing?
South:
Thats it, thats my bow......
What is the TD system and lengths ?
Please PM me a price on a TD Schleyer like this pic.

Ditto! :clapper:
Sure would like to shoot one of the Banshees. Are you planning on coming out to the Western States Rendevous in Oregon this year South?
You should consider attending the Oregon Bowhunter Convention in February.
I think vendors can set up for free.
That way I could shoot one of your longbows
Paul :bigsmyl:
Gorgeous bows. A number of archers are going to walk away from K-zoo very happy. Very nice.
I was wondering where the Western States was going to be this year. What town is it at? It is certainly within striking distance, and what about the Oregon Bowhunter Convention? Which weekend and where? Feb is filling up quick with projects, but I wouldn't want to miss an event so close to home.
Bob Larson and I were talking about these today-gotta try one of those Renegades!
"The Schleyer"
Wow very nice :)
The Schleyer is awesome looking. When or is there a East Coast show these will be at?
I really like the thrid one in that pic but they are all sweet looking. Wonder how much it would set me back to get one of each.
South, the Oregon Bowhunter Convention is Feb.25-27 and the Western States in May 28-30 (Memorial Day weekend) at Tygh Valley, Oregon. If you go to Traditional Archers of Oregon website and look under "About" you'll find the Western States info. Oregon Bowhunter Convention is http://www.oregonbowhunters.com/convention.htm
http://www.taoregon.com/about.html
This is the link to Western States. It's the Traditional Archers of Oregon website. Just look down to the link to Western States. Right now their site is being updated...nothing showing yet.
Like to see you at one or both!....and your bows! haha
South, your TD are stunning and I like them for the praticity, but those one pieces are a world by themselves.Congrats.
South...any pics of your 3 piece take down longbows?
The 2nd from the right is the sickest bow I've ever seen. Very cool!!
South , I did not check your website but, are you planning to make a donation to the Bart Schleyer memorial fund for every Schleyer longbow you sell, similar to your program with the Schleyer TD recurve? Thanks for your generousity. Mike
geeze, they look like art work.
bill
I have a Stalker recurve that is beautiful and shoots great. I would bet that South would hold high expectations for his one piece and his take-down longbows. Looking forward to shooting them next week.
Mike,
I'm going to keep the donation program running on the Schleyer longbows as well. I've got a picture of Artyom shooting the #001 recurve that I gave to him earlier this past summer (thought it would be fitting for him to have the first). I'll work on getting some pics posted of the 3 piece take downs. I'll have the bows at Kalamazoo, ETAR and Compton this year. Looking forward to seeing all of you "Easterners" again!
South,
Bob Larson wants one of these real bad. I hope you get him one soon so I can try it come March, lol. Really nice looking bow!
Mark
3 more days! Have a safe trip South. See you Friday.
Mike Gerard owlbait
Wow, nice looking bows!
Bob is on the list, I'll make sure to get his done before you're up there. It's bowyer's choice on the woods for his bow, this is gonna be fun!
nice looking bows! looks like they have some great feeling handles!
Wow those are stunning, kind of mad I have a Centaur on order now, I love love love the first one to the far left, to bad its a lefty lol.
Boy, I'm kind of afraid to try one of these - it could be an expensive test drive!
But I'll see you in Kalamazoo  I've got to see those beauties in person!
I WILL BE AT YOUR BOOTH FOR SURE! Caps lock intentional.
What are the brace heights on your longbows?
Did anyone get a look at these at the show Thanks Shane
Shane, I shot South's bows at KaZoo and again was impressed. Same great quality, and a nice fit for me on the grips. Bows were quiet, and no noticeable handshock. Performance was there also. That said, I ordered a T/D longbow. I guess with all the T/d's I have right now I prefer the extra mass. The T'D longbows were fun to shoot too. I hope South will bring some bows in the 45-50# range next time. The lighest he had was 54# and those 4 extra pounds makes a difference for this old guy.
Very nice bows. True works of art that you can have fun with!
Sexy.........
Man, those are nice South.
The brace height is about 6 1/2" for the one piece.
