I am considering a Hill Country bow. Particularly the wildcat t/d model. I would like to see some pictures of your Hill Country bows and you opinions.

I Have no pic but do have an opinion.
Probably the best valus in a handle forward longbow. I think it is a great bow. Very steady in the hand.
A guy used one to win the NFAA unmarked 3d world championship a couple of years ago. Very steady bow. Very fast. Good mix between a Black Widow recurve and a longbow.
I like a little less reflex in the limbs, but thats just personal.
I have taken a few critters with it.

I don't know how to post pics but they're the finest looking bows I have seen, affordable and very smooth and shoot wonderfully! Roman's work is top notch. I have a 58" takedown that pulls 61# at 30 ". Roman's bows in my opinoin, are a hidden treasure.

Excellent quality workmanship and shooting characteristics. Roman Hershberger, the bowyer, is a great guy and committed to quality.
I bought a one piece Harvest Master for my wife. It's a fabulous bow. I know you want to see a Wildcat but you can at least get a flavor for his workmanship by this bow. You can see pics in the thread linked below.
It's a very fast and stable bow. If my wife ever wants to part with it I know it's not leaving the house.
I have had the opportunity to shoot several of his bows. They have all been great.
I will be checking them out again at Kalamazoo.

We are currently in the process of getting the website updated and Roman has a bunch of new bows to bring out at Kalamazoo.
As soon as time allows, I will be taking some more pics to post. Roman lives a little over an hour from me and it's not always easy to get pics. The new Wildcat riser is a little more streamlined and an absolute tackdriver.

vtmtnman, do you eat what you shoot? :D It would take several of those to make a meal.
Nah him I left for the clean up crew(The squirrels head for the stew pot).I got a skunk that lives around the house that cleans up gut/critter piles/parts.They seldom make it two days,I always have stuff out there in the same spot for him/her.I usually don't make a habit shooting chippys but he was vaccuming up my corn before the squirrels got there.
I heard there was a change in the Wildcat riser? Is the one with the dead turkeys like the current model? Sorry, but I cannot make it to KZOO, but this Hill Country Wildcat is on my short list of must have bows....

I've got a Falcon longbow. Great bow, beautiful fit and finish. Has been my go to bow for the last couple of years. Would not hesitate to buy another Hill Country Bow.
I'd like to see some more of these bows, if anyone else has pictures.
Just to clarify the one I posted a pic of is the older model.I guess Roman silmed down the riser on the newer ones.
Here are a couple of pictures of some deer I killed this year with my Hill Country K2. Not great pics of the bow itself but at least you can see the profile of the limbs and riser. Back mounted limbs on the K2 as opposed to the Wildcat. I also have a set of recurve limbs for the same riser. I'll try to take some better pics of the bow itself later today. Roman does some real nice work.

I ran into one of Roman's bows back in the mid 90's. His original Hunter model. A handle forwrd longbow with just a little reflex. Great bow.
I told myself this guy makes a great bow.
Just really done well.
Alot of thought and calculating goes into his designs. He's always pushing.
He also makes beautiful furniture.
He will be at Kzoo
Look for a guy with a beard.

I can't quite tell from all the pics, but what is the finish like on these bows? Is it a matte type? A few appear to be glossy.

Nice talking to you last night. I am going to Roman's on Saturday evening to take pics of all the new stuff going to Kazoo.
He always puts on a matte finish unless gloss is asked for.
Turn around time on his bows is currently 14-16 weeks. Hopefully longer after Kalamazoo.
The riser in the picture with the Turkeys is the old style.

Ryan, yes hybrid limbs as you can tell for the pics below and as 4 runner said, matte finish. Roman does a very nice job with the finish.
