I was taking a look at these quivers and liked how easy they detach. I don't like to shoot wih a quiver on, but if I need to in a quick situation I would like to know if its quiet and stays put.
Thanks, Sam
IMHO the best small quiver made, for the price can't be beat.It does not move, and light as a feather.
Thanks! That's what I like to hear. Are you able to take arrows out when not attached and it it won't fold over on ya? Also what is in the hood, foam or free floating? And can you use small diameter carbons like beman MFX? Sorry for all the questions but I have been looking for the perfect quiver for me and really hoping I have found it!
Thanks
I'm with Steve on this one also. Can't beat a Big Jim quiver.
Most guys don't have problems with small carbons, but if you let me know when you order, I can make a special gripper for small carbons.
Yes you can take arrows out when not on the bow, but it is a two piece, so when you get down to just 2 you may have it move on you.
Thanks for the help guys, BigJim
Thanks Big Jim! I'll be calling you tomorrow.
i plan on ordering one. just need the cash
If they will work on a Quinn Stallion recurve I'm going to order one. I especially like the easy on and off as I take quiver off when in tree stand.
Hoyt, the one nice thing about Jims Quiver is it doesn't matter how big your limb wedges are right next to your riser. The straps will easily go around them.It is so easy to install and take off.I got the smallest and just love it.Perfect for small lite bows and longbows.
Just got mine last week. Yes to using MFX shafts in it...perfectly sized for that. Very quiet...order a larger head than you think you need. Mine is a 5 arrow and I should have ordered the large hood. The rubber straps are heavy duty and once it's on, it ain't going anywhere.
Ordered mine last week waitng for it should be soon.Aloha

I use one for this past season, I've got to others in the same style but Big Jim attaching straps are much better and never come loose.
Got mine today fits my HH wesley Speacial great ,It grips reall well dont thin is going to move at all on bow while hunting..Aloha
Looking very seriously at one.
i would be buying one right now if it was available for 6 arrows.
Those sure are some fine looking quivers Big Jim has. I hope all this buying doesn't run him out.
Pandaros, there's no such thing as old stock.lol
thanks guys, BigJim
I bought one in November and it has treated me well.
I've never heard of these quivers until this thread. Of course I'm only into my Sophomore year of trad shooting so there's a lot I haven't heard about.
BigJim, will you be at Kzoo, and will you have some of these quivers there for purchase?
I wish I could be there, but I have no bows to display at this time. The booth space is too high for me to bring my supply set up. I will try to do better for next year.
thanks, bigjim
Jim
Can the medium hood accept 5 arrows or would I need the large hood?
Thanks
Jake

Well I'll try to help that. Order on the way!
I just visited the website and watched the video. Wow! I had discounted strap-on quivers as not being easily detached and hung in the tree when I'm on stand. The video shows how easy this is to do and how well it works.
I'm getting ready to send BigJim two bows for dipping pretty soon. They may have to come back with quivers!

Thanks Sawtooth!!!
Just got my notification that my quiver shipped today. Can't wait to get it!
Perfect timing on this thread for me. I've been wanting a new bow quiver because mine is a piece. It has velcro on nylon straps with a piece of metal that holds the hood to the arrow gripper. It's heavy and you can't get the straps tight enough. I have been putting a piece of rubber under the straps for years now. I looked at big jims video a few weeks ago and was impressed. With these great reviews, I'm sold. Thanks!
Me too. I sent BigJim an e-mail asking how to decide whether I need small, medium or large? Mine will be on a recurve and I only want 4 arrows.
bowwild, i would also be interested in what size hood would be best for a 4 arrow gripper

It really depends on the size of the broadhead you're using as to what size quiver you need. I shoot Big Jim heads and Mag I heads so I went with a Large quiver with 5 arrow gripper from Jim.
Go with the large, especially if you shoot large broadheads

just ordered one. cant wait to try it out
I went with small hood and it is great! I shoot 2-blade BHs. Plenty of room in the hood. My narrowest of narrow 600 spine MFX Classics fit the gripper just right.
I have to admit once again, I'm a lefty and our stuff just naturally works great!
I got one recently and love it.
I love mine!! It's all I use now.
BIG JIM products all good...
Nice to see this post cause I'm going for one myself.
Check out the Kanati quiver from Annewakee Archery. They are great quivers and they have several styles too choose from. Excellant folks to deal with too.
i have one on my striker an i have no complants
just got mine. that guy ships fast.
i like it. looks great, grips very good, light wieght, holds arrows great. i went wit hthe med hood and it should work fine with 2 blades.
if your going to use 3 blades deffinatly go with a large hood
I think I am going to call also. Been looking for a longbow quiver.
like how easy it is to put on and take off.

Probably the easiest I have ever seen.
I just received two from Big Jim and they are great. Very secure on the bow and hold arrows tight. No problems here.
Got mine and they are nice. Very easy to put on and take off. Hold arrows very tight. Best bang for the buck.
