The checkering makes quite a difference. Dave and Beth are awesome to deal with.

That looks awesome. Can you post a pic of the full riser, I'd like to see the phenolic/osage combo a little better...Mike
-
Very nice! I was just thinking I need to get my Widow stippled or checkered. Your's is the first I've seen.
-
I like it! I just recived a Silvertip with the checkering and it feels good.

First one I saw I believe belongs to Zman. Dave does a great job.
-
I think one of my favorite things about a Silvertip is the checkering. I'm thinking a wheelbarrow pushed to Montana would be a good trip for a bunch of my non-checkered risers?
If you don't mind. What does a checkering job cost and how long does it take?
-
This one was only $150 including return shipping. Dave received it on Dec 16th and I picked it up today. Great people to deal with.
-
Does Dave do the actual checkering himself. If so, he is more than just a talented bowyer. That is real checkering, not like some of the chicken scratch you see on some bows.
-
did you have to have the riser re-sealed ?
-
Dave applied the finish after the checkering. The pics don't do it justice. Fine points and perfect diamonds. He did an awesome job. He will be building my next bow for sure.
-
WANT..
Legend has it that couldn't be done to a widow.Glad to see there is a checkered widow in exsistence.I wouldn't have another silvertip without that option.
Can we get pics of the rest of the bow?
-
Thats a cool looking bow, and a nice checker job to. I have a silvertip that Dave checkered, he does great work! Jason
-
That is very nice
-
That looks awesome
-
That's awesome, I have a couple of bows the have the sure grip.
The checkering would take care of those things for good!
-
Man that is sweet looking! Congrats.
-
Gotta love Dave's work. That looks sweet!!
-
That's just downright awesome!!!
-
does that widow have the high wrist grip?sure is pretty.
-
Super nice!
-
Looks great. I like it.
-
Asbell grip. I think the angle in the photo and the limb removed make it appear high wrist.
-
Well this is one nice Widow! All the comments are great. Enjoy.
-
that is truly one of the nicest looking Widows
I've ever seen. that thing is nasty bad. wish
I would not have seen it in a way. my pocketbook
wants me to call Black Widow, but the wives
rolling pin will have the final say.
-
