What ever became of Dan Bertalan, he seems to have just disappered from the traditional archery community. Just curious. Bob
Hey Bob I was wondering that too. I bet I haven't seen Dan in 10 years...
If you do a search here on TG, there are a few topics about this. Here is one of interest:

...and yes, I kind of liked his writing and his videos, but some folks move on to other interests...and maybe Dan is one of them.
Thanks for the info Blackhawk,I to have often wondered what happened to Dan.
I really liked some of his videos an writings, had a little differnt way of puttin things, maybe have to dig out old video an let the snow fly, maybe I'd better plow the driveway first d:^( Bob
Dan was a great story teller. Enjoyed his writings.
When I see that last name all I think of is Tara. I thought she was the hottest girl around when I was younger. Dan's alright too!
Ditto what Manitoba Stickflinger said. lol
i keep in touch with tara ( i was her dog's Vet) and also went on some hunts with her...i know her dad was writing fiction books for awhile not to mention tara has made him a grandpa 2x over...i'll see what i can find out...
'The shooting better than ever II', is my absolute favorite video. I get it out couple of times a year.. particularly just before bow seasons opening day....
btw stickflinger and sam are RIGHT ON
I'll second on Tara deal. I heard he went the Yule Gibbons route. Gnawing on pine tree's and picnic tables!!
His book Traditional Bowyers of America 1989 was one of the Best. I remember rumors of a follow up that obviously never happened. To Bad as it was a very enjoyable read.
I too enjoyed Dan Bertalan's work. All I have to offer is some "old" news but I guess that it may be better than no news.
A friend of mine from Michigan was a friend of Dan's and worked on a few projects with /for him. Dan was working on commercial filming albeit a variety of subjects I believe.
He had cut back on his hunting.
