Title: Snuffer broadheads
Post by: Dirtybird on January 11, 2011, 02:34:00 PM
Does anyone know if there is any difference between the originals and the new ones being sold now?

I don't know if they are changing, I was just wondering if there was a difference from the originals.

I may be wrong but i think the steel on the older ones may have been a bit "softer".

You wouldn't notice any difference between Magnus manufacture Snuffers and the old ones we made.  During the Delta Industries period there were some problems with heat treating and you could get some really hard ones sometimes.  All that I've looked at from Magnus were top quality.

I doubt that Magnus does as many hands-on checks/quality control as we did, though, so a problem might slip past once in a while, but I've not seen it.

Of course we're talking about the REAL Snuffers, not the Snuffer SS or whatever the little one piece jobs are called.

All been about the same for me in the past 20 yrs. I get another half dozen 160s every other year or so as I crunch a few or leave them in trees. They just kill everything very well, would not think twice about using them on anything up to and including buffalo .............

The Magnus Snuffers always work good for me. If you get a bad one just send it back to Mike and he'll send you a new one. They stand by there stuff.
