Hi,I,ve read a few browning posts lately with good info.I recently bought a few bows from a gun show and have a question about one.I bought a browning explorer 2 with a chip or worn spot in the finish on the handle at it's highest point.It could have been dropped or something.The guy said I could use nail polish to fix it.It seems like Ive heard that before but not sure.He says he's been doing this for a long time(collecting bows)so that might be the way they did it back in da day.Anyone know old stuff like dat.Thanks
Nail polish would work and so will super glue both are just to seal the spot from the weather (keeps the mosture out of the wood)a temporary fix but one that can be used in the long term if you dont mind the cosmetics of the polish or glue on the bow. I prefer the superglue myself.

Yep,Wtpops has it right. Another option would be TruOil gunstock finish.
