Well sort of...I had some Artic blue diamond wood samples and had to try them somewhere
I've never seen blue in a bow, so I had to try it! I don't know what to think...maybe i'll stick with normal colored woods from now on!

I think it looks really cool!
i like it...somthing different to set the bow apart. very cool
unique! I Like!
I think it looks sharp as an accent and contrasts with the grey beautifully! Nice looking and unique in a good way!
Good Look
Looks good to me!
I had an old Bear Super Kodiak that had some blue futurewood in it.
im with every one else i think it looks great
how does it shoot ?
Short sight window, whats the bow's lenght.Nice little bow!
I believe the color blue makes a bow faster  ...and it sure makes your bow handsome too.
Yes, the 1975 and 1976 Super Kodiaks had the gray actionwood with blue accents. Some say it was the fastest of all Fred's SK's. :dunno:
I like it. Looks nice.
Thanks guys, the bow is one of the new 52" recurves I have been working on. These bows have a narrow limb...1 3/8" at the wedge and 5/8" at the base of the tip. It took a little while to figure out the right limb design to make sure it still had good horizontial and vertical stability, but I think i've figured it out. I'll try to post the force draw curve later...trying to figure out how to turn it into a jpeg file??? I think if I print it and then scan it again, I can save as a pic???
Lets try this....

Keep in mind that these numbers are taken in my shop, and a probably not 100% accurate. I use these for my own records.
These bows are also set up as I would use them for hunting...normal brace and rubber string silencers.
I have found that these little bows are way more efficient using a heavier arrow. At 10 gpp they run about 86-88% and 9gpp only 81-83%.
I suppose that it is no mystery that a heavier arrow will absorb more of a bows energy.
I think it looks real good. Ain't nothing wrong with blue at all. Wifes favorite color.
I think it is great looking! The blue is sharp!
That looks awesome! Nice work.
That is sweet! Unique - blue! I dig it.
looks great. but if you dont like it id be more than happy to take it off ur hands for ya ;)
That bow looks dang sharp if you ask me! I say go with it.
The old '76 (I think) Bear Super Kodiak was known as a blue stripe.
I also like the Blue, makes a nice accent. That Riser design looks sweet too.
I think my Bear Kodiak Hunter ('73?) has a blue stripe. But then, I drove a car for some time and never knew it was robin egg blue. Looked white to me.
i think the blue is great jared!
Beautiful bow the blue looks like a vein of ice.
Loving it!!
I think it look good also. I say play around with it some more.
love the blue keep it going
That should make a great little bow for stalking.
Your game should be easier to take as "unkneeck" up on them.
God bless,Mudd
I'm going to start offering these little guys pretty soon. Probably going to call it the XS Recurve (Extra Small) :) I'm going to try to update the website in the next few weeks...may have to add the Blue Streak XS to the line up! ;)
Thanks guys.....
I'd like to test drive one of these little guys! I have a couple of old Bear Super Mag 48's (one is a blue stripe from 1976) and a 52" Bear Black Panther that I really like and shoot well. Do you have plans to set up at any of the Michigan events? If not, I'm only a couple hours away and would like to stop by sometime!
Bob
Yes old Bear bows had some blue on the riser/limb tips, but also Centaur is available with some blue.
Your bow looks very nice and very handly, congrats nice piece.
Excellent contrasting color. I would buy a bow with that type of wood in the riser or limb tips.
Your bow looks pretty cool with the blue stripe. Here's a blue one. Not mine! Bear Viking (?) (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a49/kwikstik/bluebear.jpg)
My better half's favorite color - Mine is red but I think that color combination you have there is pretty awesome!

Jared shipped me the bow and I put a few arrows through it this afternoon. First impression....Great Bow! Fast, quiet and accurate. I haven't shot much this winter and my first 3 arrows at 15 yds were stacked in the bullseye!
I'm really impressed with the speed and impact it generates at 45#. I shot some 500 gr Grizzly Stik Sitkas through it and it seems to like them. I'll put a bunch of arrows through it this weekend and see how it performs with some others. This little guy may not need return postage!
i've got a lefty due any day now.i can't wait!
I like it.Jared makes some cool looking bows.I think one of his longbows and that short recurve and a guy would have all the bases covered.
Chad
Very cool bow!
Very cool bow!
