I just put down my deposit on a JK Traditions Kanati longbow. 56" and 55#@26, walnut diamondwood with bamboo limbs. I can hardly wait, I was not sure what I was going to order until I talked to Jason. After he had been sick for a couple of weeks, pnuemonia even, he takes time to call and answer all my dumb questions. This will be my first custom bow. Can yoou tell I am excited? Let me know about your JK bows and share some pictures!

Good for you, man!
That Kanati is one awesome bow, only heard raves about it. I'm still shooting my first real custom, I know how excited you are!
I'm here in CS too, we should hook up.
Wish I had ordered bamboo limb cores too...good thinkin'
Enjoy the wait.

The first bow I ordered was a Kanati from Jason as well...
Fit and Finish is top notch, and good shooting as well. Jason is very patient.
Great Choice....

Yes waiting is tough.Congrats

Good for you.
I always thought one of the best parts about ordering a new bow was the months of anticipation.

The wait's the worst. I'm a year in on a custom muzzleloader and still six months or more to go. Torture.
-
I left the best part out, the wait is only about three months!

Matt,
Every new bow is special....every wait is too long for sure - even if only three months. Its a lot of fun!
Nice choice on your first one. I am always curious to know the reasoning for the choice of bow length. You to chose a 56"er. I'm sure you thought about it long and hard before making the decision. Just curious....

Hey Matt. Congrats to you on your choice. You picked a winner for sure. I recieved my Kanati last month and couldn't be more pleased with it. Mine is 60in 55lbs@29in. Here's a pic of my first shooting session. The grip is so naturally pointable that it made shooting it just amazing. Hope to see pics of yours when you get it. Martin

they are great little bows for sure, i had one and sold it, going to replace it at some point with a lighter one.

Here's a buck I killed a few years ago with my Kanati. Bow was 56" 45#@27". The arrow went through him like he wasn't even there. Kanati's are just amazing bows. I'm sure I'll have another one before too long. (http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c223/madtox/IMG0537_012.jpg)
