Did you guys read "The Devil Pig" in the latest P.B.S. publication written by Roger Rothhaar? What a great article. I always love everything he submits. I think it is because I love the way he is so analytical about what he is doing.
Reading what he has written can really give a guy some great ideas. The way he had a huge boar hog approach the bait from downwind is nothing out of the ordinary, but the way he later placed a treestand to address a very risky wind situation and was able to take a pig that had eluded the locals for years is just...well...great reading material. Check it out if you get the chance.
Thanks I will
I like to think of bowhunting as advanced problem solving. Roger takes that concept to a high level; his book Whitetail Magic details some of the "thinking" he's done to solve problems and kill big deer. This was just another example of how he does it, and yes, Jon, it was a good read.
That's true. Problem solving within the constraints of human and natural laws. :archer:
