I just worked out a trade for a Bear T/D,A handle and #1 limbs, makes a 56" bow.I've always wanted one so I'm pretty excited.I remember seeing on here before that there are a few different places to get limbs.Could someone refresh my memory? Thanks
roseoak and RER
Brandon Stahl at Rose Oak Creations, makes a nice limb that is bit faster than most of the Bear limbs.

Congratgs on your A handle! Very nice indeed.
I have two sets of Rose Oak limbs and few sets of Bear limbs. Can't go wrong with Brandon at all. His new limbs really spice up a Bear TD. If you are looking at Bear limbs green tips are the ones to look for.
Yes,, Brandon Stahl,,I've got a set coming in May,,Just a great guy to deal with.
Terrific bow!
I bought some beautiful Bear Limbs from Brandon at Rose Oak this month. They are great looking (I had them match a Supreme TD Riser)and work great. I bought the #1 Limbs that make a 56" bow (like yours) and a 60" with a B Riser.
In fact, I just got on Brandon's list for another pair (brown glass instead of fancy) about 30 minutes ago!
I too am on the list again! April is my due date!!
Brandon Stahl at Rose Oak Creations
Dave Windauer Schafer Silver Tip Bows
My third pair will be delivered in April, they are really performing limbs and smooth too.
3Rivers, a sponsor here, also sells them.
Thanks for the info guys.Has anyone tried the limbs from 3Rivers?I looked at Rose Oak and Oct. is the earliest one can expect to get limbs.
Put a post on the Classifieds here and try to pick up a set - for now. Then get on Brandon Stahl's waiting list - you won't be sorry. My daughter has a set of Brandon's limbs for her Bear Takedown - sweet shooting limbs.
You've already got a set of #1's why not just relax and shoot them for a while, and worry about an upgrade after you are sure you like the bow.
By the way I have been looking for a set of #1's either white or red tips around 50#.
Have 2 sets from Dave Windauer.....nice limbs
I'm currently selling a pair of Bear #1 white tips. They were new in the package when I bought them 8 months ago. They make a 45# on a B and 47# on an A. Black glass -- without blemish.
The limbs sold by 3 Rivers are the same Bear limbs that you currently have.
If you like a 62" bow(like I do) you can't beat the RER limbs. Smooth, sweet and fast.
What can you expect to pay for a set of limbs. I got my first Bear TD not long ago.
I absolutly love my RER limbs....
ill
I spent $305 for a pair of new in the plastic Bear Limbs on a BIG auction site this past spring. Wish I hadn't. You can spend $420-620 on colored glass or beautiful exotic veneered Rose Oak limbs.
The only reason not to buy Brandon's limbs is if you have to have em NOW. I ordered some yesterday but I won't receive them until October.
According to what I saw on 3Rivers the other day, a pair of limbs for a Supreme TD (very fancy exotics and gloss finish) cost $999.
I have a set of Limbs on order from Brandon. Mine are due in July. I can't wait!!
I am going to have a set of 60# on a B Handle and a set of 65# on a B Handle for sale soon. They are both Green Tips. One set is in the original box. They are going to be reasonably priced. Would rather see them being used than sitting on a shelf.
When I asked Brandon about his #1 limbs on an A riser with a 29" draw, he advised against it..
Kinda shut me off on him and his limbs. 1. I know the reasons for a longer limb or longer bow with a long draw, but get along just fine with a Kodiak Mag which is only 52" No reason to think a 56" bow wouldn't work.
2. If he doesn't feel his limbs can take the heat, I guess I'll keep shooting my old Bears.. No problem with them at that draw length.
ive shot the schafer, RER, and rose oak replacement bear limbs and the rose oak are without a doubt the smoothest, fastest, and best ones with the schafers 2nd and the RER third. i cant say enough about the rose oaks...WOW!
Ref the limb values question: I had a set of new 52# Bear limbs, never used from about 2 years ago. I advertised for $275, had no offers, I just sold them for $250. They were also fast flight capable.
I have been able to buy the old white limbs in low poundage (40 and under) for $100-$150 per set. Black glass limbs in poundages of 50 and over are more in demand and bring more money.
I have no personal experience with the other limb makers values, never seen any for sale. But they do look great. I also have a set of the rare longbow limbs for the takedown. Value of those can be high, they are ugly, but rather rare and hard to find.
