I have limited experience, and found them lacking.  :dunno:

I have one that is 43@28"  and at 30" is only 50# so they don't stack real bad. The grip will take some getting use to if you have not shot a high wrist grip. They are not the fastest bows but for the short distances that most game is shot at I think it would be fine. I have a second set of limbs on order that are a little heavier so I hope to hunt with it sometime.

He also makes a JT 44 meant for shorter draw lengths. The KT44 can be drawn to 31". I would recommend that you shoot them three under or you might find some fingerpinch.

John is kind of hard to get a hold of. If you send him an e-mail he may not get back to you for a week or two as he travels some time for work. Building bows is a second job.

Was wondering someone could post some pictures. I've only ever seen the ad in TBM.

The pictures in the link are of the JT44. The KT44 has limbs mounted on the other side of the riser. I have some pictures but I don't have a way of posting on this site.

The next issue of Trad Archers World will have a couple of pictures in an article that I wrote on short bows.

JT 44, sold this one a couple of years ago, couldn't get used to the high wrist grip..it was a fun bow to shoot     (http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt46/Robertfishes/JT442.jpg)

Anyone with a KT44 (50# - 55#) they would like to move (at a reasonable price  :)  )?

Every time I see one of these bows it reminds me of the archery shoots at Marshall Michigan many years ago and the fine memories of a great gentleman....Kiko Tovar.
Thanks for the pictures and memories.

Being able to shoot from your butt has its advantages, huh?

...and I'm looking forward to your article on short bows in the next Tradarcher's World mag too.

Lon, Where did you get that pic from? You should post that other one from our elk hunt, the bow looks even smaller.

The pic came from one of your posts on that other site.
