Wow - not sure how you are splicing those but it seems like a few more steps than I use.  I just cut then to the length I want and put them together.  Once they are on the shaft they look like they grew that way.  Can you give a few details on the splice technique?

Nice looking by the way

thanks for the compliments,it is a membrane splice.it is a little more work than a butt splice but its a clean looking splice and i think its worth it.i saw on a thread about goose feather how ferretWYO was splicing and so i gave it a try,so thanks to him for sharing.im working on some of the other colors i have and i will put up some pics of them.

Just run a search on feather splicing, plenty of old threads on this subject. Also in the Build Along section it is covered.

i managed to get the red and orange chopped, still working on the yellow.the pics dont do the orange justice, the orange is  some amg feathers and its like hunters orange and is super bright even in low light just cant seem to capture it with my camera.i dont usually use amg,i like true-flights quality and grind just like the bright color and i grind all the base away and you can get a lot for a little!
