you never know with badgers. I have seen them close; and had no problems; but also I have seen them chase a grown man as if they had a meal plan.
Nice photos :)
-
Awsome pics,Ive seen them roadkilled in Wyo,but never live ones.Real pretty critters. How close was he?
-
Sweet pics. Looks like you and he were very close. Those things can be just pure mean even if they look like they want to be petted.
-
neat pic
-
Great pics
-
So Bob, did you reach over and scratch him behind the ear's? ;)
If you've never been close to a Badger, they smell just like a skunk. :saywhat:
-
Excellent set of pictures. Thanks for sharing.
-
Tree Killer....
IMHO - They smell worse than a skunk!
They will also "tree" a hunting guide on top of a T-post. Now that is something to see.
:D

Great pictures. He don't look all that happy to me.
-
Thank you for sharing with us. I bet if you had one of them for a pet on the back porch you would never have to worry about the coons gettin the garbage. Brokenwing

Okie that sounds like a good story.Kip
-
Excellent photos. Please tell me you didn't scratch him behind the ears LOL.
-
That is very cute:-)

Beware of critters that can run as fast backwards as they can forwards. Have had quite a few run in's with badgers and they can be mean.
-
I have a pelt with claws here in my office for reference. Those are great photos and I smile every time I look at them. Thanks for making a very cold day here, warmer.
-
That made the day!!

sorry Bob, I keep coming back to what has to be the best pic of 2007 so far. You captured the nonperturbed look probably a nonosecond before the explosion. Truly classic.
one of my all-time-favorite animals

Great shots, Bob!!

Thanks guys!!!!
I appreciate your kind comments. I am trying to learn how to take a decent photo.
He was pretty close. Didn't seem to mind me too much. You could tell he was just a pup. As noted, the big ones can be agressive.

I am amazed what less than $500.00 can buy in the way of a camera.
Weez...Nothin you would probably use but for guys just putzin around.
Thanks!
Bob
