I know a lot of folks enjoy hunting in snow but after living in Alaska I understand how some might want a break from the cold temps. We have 2 more months of bow season left and I'm retired. Anyone is welcome to come thaw out and hunt public land with me here in Arkansas if you would like.
Took this photo just a few minutes ago. 12/31/10 Our typical day is freezing at night and in the 40s during the day so this is a bit unusual but not by a whole lot.

Next week is supposed to be sunny and warm -- 20+ degrees above normal for KY January.
I was treated to a hog/deer hunt in January, 2006 about 90 miles southwest of San Antonio, TX. It was just a one day deal but what a blast!
Oh, and don't forget summer will be postponed until completion of turkey season!
Hey whats the cost for a n.r. tag?
20 deg below with windchill here in northern MN, warm sounds nice!
I live just about in the middle of the state. Mena is about 2- 2.5 hours sw of me.
nr 5 day lic is $150
nr 3 day lic is $100
I'm trying to build up my tolerence to heat so I can make that dream trip to the land down under some day. That's why I moved to Arkansas.
All I have to hunt is public land but we have a lot of wmas and most only allow 2 weeks of gun hunting each year. Can't promise any monster but we do have deer, hogs and assorted small game.
I though New Zealand was colder since you have no poisones snakes. I think I saw snow in photos of a tar (spelling?)hunt.
Dang I forgot about the seasson difference between us and you.
If I make if down I'll be getting a hold of you.
Keeping the Faith!

It reached 70 degrees today where I live in deep southeast Texas. We have cold front coming in tonight that will drop the temperature down to 43 degrees by morning.
It was 60 degrees here this morning and it is about 24 now. Quite a shock.
No joke Cocklebur! I think it is around 14 or so here. I was running around in a short sleeve shirt yesterday in the 60's.
I would usually say come to Arizona for the warm winter, but this morning when my boy and I got out for some quail hunting it was 15 degrees (high desert about 35 miles northeast of Phoenix).
"Happy new year Bro as its the 1st of 20011 here already"
Am I the only one who caught how far ahead of us all Jeff is? What a difference a zero makes!
Supposed to be in the fifties here today, and a day at the range is going to be a lot more pleasant than it was last year at this time!
