I am new to forums and this may sound like a dumb question but what does "bump" and "ttt" mean?
Bump and taking to top means you are bringing a topic back to the top of the forum. SPF means sold pending funds.
Stick around there will be more.

What kind of Freudian thing was I thinking "behind" his ears -- surely my slip doesnt suggest that LH folks are stuck in the past?

BT = Bow Tree
Famous pine tree of RNHarris. Legend has it the tree is suspected of being the main selling magnet of at least 150 bows and archery related items through the middle Georgia area. Most feel that without the tree, Ralph would not have been able to keep us in bows. I believe that Bleckley county has applied for the tree to be placed on the Nationlal Register of Historic Places. You can also send your bow to Ralph to be photographed while leaning on the tree, of course a modest fee will incur.
Froggy :p
Got it, thanks.
Here is some more bow slang from the classifieds:
"Some scratches" - bow was used to hit rocks in a playground by the owner's seven year old son.
"One crack" - bow is in two pieces.
"Original finish" - no finish left.
"Original decals" - three letters and or two numbers (or any combination of same) can be made out.
"Bubble in finish" - found in ashes after devistating house fire.
"Good shooting bow" - String was found with bow.
"Wall hanger" - last guy who tried to shoot it was killed when limb failed.
"Starter Bow" - Looking for someone who has no idea what a bow should look like and won't be disappointed.
Stumpkiller YKM!!!!!!
My sides hurt and I can't breath, hence "you're killing me!"...lol
Those are great!!
Thank you for the belly laughs.
God bless, Mudd

As far as I know. I made 'em up as I went along. . . er, I mean based on past experience. But I believe the world saw them here first!
Going with stumpkiller.
On the "big" auction site, when the seller says the bow is LH that means the bow is gripped in the left-hand. These ads are generally posted by sellers who claim to have invented archery and know so much about it they are bored and are selling off equipment they've had for many decades. Except for editing their ad to change the bow to RH they are pretty quiet after being caught.
Oh, I have a couple just from "The Bay".
"I think it's an XXXX" - I have no clue what it is (or the decal was loose) but I see those by XXXX sell highest.
"Not really sure" - lying through my teeth but you can't prove it.
"I am not a collector and don't know" - I know my price is unrealistic but I also know there are suckers out there. I paid $3 for it at a garage sale.
"Found in attic" - of house I was robbing.
"I'm selling this for a friend" - someone else robbed a house.
"Be sure to ask first" - you are bidding on seven pictures of a bow.
"As pictures show" - bow was dragged under a car and the side not shown is gone.
"Reserve not met" - hoping to start a frenzy and too greedy to just use "Buy It Now"
Of course there's always:
DAMIFINO - the name of my boat
FUBAR - should be self explanitory!
DILLIGAD - do I look like I give a damn (could end with f)
LOTS MORE out there!
stumpkiller, you should be in standup comedy.the stuff you made up brightened my whole day.you cracked me up brother, steve :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
