Just wondering who's all going to the pig-gig this coming year and which week? :campfire:

Thank you Rastaman.
I'll be at the Spikebox on the 27th. Looking forward to it.

If any of you guys already coming down want to contact a buddy to help share driving expenses, etc., we still have a few openings. Last year all of our hunts sold out and will likely this year too. For others interested in joining us we just had a group of five cancel for Hunt #4 on the Spikebox Ranch. This is a super 100,000 acre ranch and the hunt includes everything except your food. We could also take a couple more guys on Hunt #1, Hunt #2 and maybe Hunt #5 too. All the info and options are listed on our website at www.brothersofthebow.com. (http://www.brothersofthebow.com.) Both Gene and I will be in camp for the entirety of all the hunts and look forward to sharing our campfires. We'll be leaving for Texas right after the K-zoo Show so if anyone is interested in joining us now is the time to test out all that new stuff you received for Christmas. Email me for availability if anyone is interested. Happy New Year to all. Hope you can join us. BW
Hey, Barr....if I wasn't real busy I'd be right there my friend.
Hope you guys have good weather!
I'm driving from Ohio and can't wait and I don't care what the weather is going to be like. :readit: :archer2:
Hmmm!!
I am in for first week at Spikebox.
Who knows about weather. I live about an hour south of Spikebox. Last week we had two days in the mid 80s. But it's forecast to be low 20s tonight. Go figure.
I'll be weeks 1 &2 can't wait. here a couple pics from last year. (http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k209/hogdancer/P1030466.jpg)

Couple more from last year
Be there week #2
Are you bringing the camo limbed bow you built Hogdancer?
I can bring it, I am driving so I can throw it in the truck.
anyone thinking of going really is in for a treat, sitting around a campfire listening to Gene and Barry is something not to be missed... and you should do it soon while they can still remember all the stories ! I already have to remind Barry to tell the story about the bobcat that broke his arm, you have to come hunt to hear the rest of the story !
The accomadations will be differant this year and will be really nice.
so who else ?
I will be there for hunt 4.
If anyone has any sort of map for Spikebox, I would appreciate it. It would be nice to google map the place beforehand.
Keith
I will miss this year after making the last 3 (3 Daughters went out of state for school starting this year). Would love to hit the Spikebox again, saw 60 in ONE group there last year, and all of them were large hairy russion crosses. Well worth it for anyone considering it. The spike box is a stalker/trackers dream. You can have action all day by sneaking into the wind.
Hey, Kudu, I'll try to leave you a few to shoot at.
I got my confirmation from Barry today. Ranch is 13.5 miles west of Benjamin. That's pretty much due west of Lambshead. That will give you an idea of the terrain. If I find any better info I'll let you know.
Well, I said that incorrectly. Benjamin is North, North-West of Lambshead.
Week three for me at Rancho Seco. It will be my first time hunting Javies! ...anybody else on here signed up for this hunt?
Michael, sorry your not going to make it, I was looking forward to hunting with you, Maybe next year ? hope so !
I will be one of a group of five from WI doing hunt 5 at Lambshead. Others include Whip and JohnP, both of whom are TradGangers.
If anyone was there last year, I would very much like to hear a bit of what I should expect as far as terrain and the area.
Weather changes every ten minutes and I know last year had some issues. Not worried about that. . more. . a heads up on what I will see down there.
Thanks

Thomas I'll see you there for week one. Enjoyed your stories from last year. My brother is coming in from California to hunt so that makes me even more excited. I hope everyone has a safe trip.
I wanna go! Looks like too much fun!
Matt

I'm thinking it might be time to organize a "Pig Gig" here in California... Hmmmm.
;)
Seemed like yesterday we were just checkin out all those pix from the Pig Gig, now here it is again. I'm turning 40 this year and time sure is dwindling away these days. You boys have loads of fun, and be safe!!
After many consecutive "Pig Gigs" I'm having to bow out this year due to family committments. I'm really going to miss it.

Great! Are you going solo or are you coming with a group? I will be solo. :bigsmyl:
Chris: Come join us. Surely your wife, girlfriend or mother will buy you a pig-gig hunt for your birthday. Ha. BW
Tom I am driving out from Florida with Ron Tandy. We are picking up Bill Terry at the airport in San Antonia. We should be there around noon Sunday if all goes according to plan.
This is going to be a a looonnng month till my departure from home. I'll be hunting all the way up until I leave, but chasing pigs around is just a different venue that's more than welcome.
