well simple question how many arrows do you have/own ? how many is to many?
i have 34 arrows and counting.
i never have enogh.....
steven
I had right about 125, but sold off everything that was too short since my form improved. Now I'm about 70 strong.
4 doz give or take a couple.
No way you'd believe me. I have them stored in 4 places and I don't know how many in any of the four.
Around 5 doz assorted for different pound bows. Maybe 50 old bent, two featherd or broken tip ones sitting in an old box waiting to be recycled.
Close to 200. Won't be making more for a while.
down to 2 dozen
it's not the number of arrows that you have, it's what you do with whatever you have that counts most.
and it only takes one well placed, sharp broadhead arrow to make meat ... ;)
Close to 200 or more made up and another 10 or more dozen shafts. Most are in the 6 main sizes I shoot, 2016,2018,2020,2117,2216,and 2219. Also a few dozen assorted woodies I still use out of some bows. 95% are old stock xx75 with glue on nocks and glue on/in adapters as I dislike uninocks and screw in points and NONE are carbon. By keeping all my old arrows I always have some that shoot well whenever I happen to pick up a new bow.
How many arrows do I have? That is something I won't talk about.
:biglaugh:
just over a dozen
Maybe 200 made up and another 100 raw shafts waiting. All P.O. cedar. I rotate my stock pretty regularly through attrition.
I "used up" five this past weekend bunny hunting (unsuccessfully) and stump shooting (successfully).
3 dozen wood/ custom/ target 40-45 #
1 dozen carbon/ 3555/ Gold Tip/ traditional
1 dozen 1816 Easton aluminum
I take the fith. I kill lots of arrows.
46 arrows right now. In the process of building 6 more wood and 6 more aluminum. When those are done I'll get some more. I got the arrow building bug right now
5 dozen aluminums for other bows, and about 1 doz of carbon for my recurve.
Not enough!!
....one of my well organized storage bins.... http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/tt261/yelojello/198.jpg
wo that looks like it takes up ALOT of space... you should just send that bin to me so you can have room to buy more ;)
any less then 3 doz I get nervous I try to maintain 5doz just so I can sleep at night
I would guedd about 3-4 doz AD' and then another 3-4 doz other assorted in groups of five....
Five is my number for building arrows.. Don't know why other than I carry 4 in my bow quivers and the 5th is a replacement for each arrow group.
Reminds me, I have to do 2 arrows. 1 for each of 2 groups.....
12- field tipped homemade cedars until this morning, now down to 10. 6- Zwickey Delta tipped homemade cedars. Time to call 3Rivers! ....Phil
GOOD QUESTION!!!!
Around 100 fletched and another 100 bare shafts. Too many arrows :jumper:
3 dozen of the size I shoot these days.
Older ones.... I dunno. Two five gallon buckets, one arrow rack and some strays around the shop...maybe another 150 or so.
A bunch,shooters,needing attention,hunters and raw,but still always check the arrows and components classified.Probably 250+.
I'm in the process of having 60, 2117 arrows and 60, 2114 arrows. That should last me for the rest of my life.
Never enough!...lol
God bless, Mudd
A minimum of 350 fletched and ready to go tipped with broadheads, blunts, field points and half that number dipped, crested but not fletched.
I only have about 16 or 17........dozen. Can't imagine how anyone could possible get by with any less.
225 give or take, been a long time since i took a count. I get alot faster than I loose. Please dont tell my wife still thinks im running low>
NOT a clue! About 6 dozen is current use, and probably close to that same number of odds and ends. No, there is no such thing as too many arrows.
dang!!if we go to battle i want you guys on my team..... :archer2:
3-4 dozen..........per bow and about 100 raw shafts.
Arrows are like ammo... You can never have too much! Oh yea... I have over 125 made up woodies, 2016's and carbons combined. Then maybe a couple dozen each in the raw.
... mike ...
4to5 doz need to buy more that way if i ever lose or smash some i got some to replace em with.
24 taget 12 hunting and 12 stump arrows.
i just made a dozen. before that i had three of em of completely different spines. my best one got stuck in the neighbors tree...so i made some bunny/stumpers for around a buck a pop...

So dont trust the person asking this question. Is this my wife ? Or someone she put up to asking this question thinking i would fall for it ?
Ohhhh no no way, not answering.
2 5" diameter Quivers full.
4 dozen POC
3 dozen xx78's
2 dozen surewoods
1 dozen GT 5755's
and an old fashion milk can full of bent/broke/split/too short.....thats my "junk yard". I keep it because all you can see are all the pretty feathers sticking out of the top! Goes nice with the furniture....at least I think so.....girlfriend, not so much I dont think.
Just picked up some from a guy last night. Older bear and Pearson arrows with Silencer Broadheads. Also got some of the aluminum arrows that are bareshaft silver. Oddest looking things. Took my number from 15 to about 40. Gonna get rid of the ones from last night, so will be back to 15, LOL.
Enough to buy a "Test Kit Inc." factory with all the trimmins'...............
6 dozen XX78
200 POC
100 Ash
6 dozen GT
6 dozen CX Eritage
Probably right around 2000 give or take a few doz. Most are just bare shafts that I will turn into customs and offer here in the classifieds
I don't know :dunno:

Not enough every time I see my favorite 1918 Autumn Orange I jump,so if anyone has any they do not use give me a hollar I will buy!!!
I have 10 1/2 dozen CX 350 shafts, 2 dozen woodies, 1 dozen Ad trads (carbon)
Less than I had at the beginning of the season. Lost one, broke seven. Maybe half a dozen or more left.
i didn't feel like counting but i have a few!

At least 6 doz. I have had many, many more and have made a real attempt to reduce this number several times in my life.
I love arrows though...you couldn't have too many!
Kris
Several hundred. Still looking for more, too.
:biglaugh:  :archer2:
800-1000 various shapes and sizes
17+3 flu flu's
More than one man should have. I have a forest and it's still growing. I wish there was a self help group for arrow hoarders.
its not the arrows i have that bother me its the ones i need and dont have
My inventory feels pretty slim compared to these numbers I am seeing. I have about 3 dozen.
I'm somewhere around 220. All os these ar shootable out of one bow or another. I;m getting ready to make a couple dozen more surewoods.
18 on the drying rack right now.
never enough
Too many!!
Just ask my wife.
John
How many arrows I have is relative.
If you count the arrows I have laying around in the bushes, waiting to be found, I have 100s!
How many I can lay my hands on right now, is a different number.
Matt
About a dozen good ones and about 40 that I need to throw in the garbage or find a way to recycle.
I do a lot of 3D shoots, stump shooting, and hunting, so my arrows don't last long. I don't spend a lot of time looking for lost ones either, I like to think someone will find them one day.
Paul
Raging Water and BlacktailBowhunter I think you guys are talking about the same thing.
I have a few like that myself but I call them "released back to the wild"...lol
God bless,Mudd
Outwest, that was gonna be my answer.
.....after about a minute to look they become "sacrifices to the woodland Gods"........I will go to some shoots only once a year and find one or more of my arrows in the lost arrow bucket.

Mudd,
If you love an arrow, set it free.
If it comes back to you, its a Boomerang.
Matt
Probably enough to last until I die of old age.
I have 3 dozen carbon express 250's that I shoot full length scince I have dropped down in bow weight and have improved my form and alignment, something I should have done years ago, but was not a member of this site and did not know any better. I am 6'4" and was shooting bows around 70# with arrows cut to 28", I was snap shooting & completly out of alignment, and doing everything wrong. Thanks tradgang for getting me headed in the right direction!
Oh ya, I also have at least 200 arrows stashed here and there of different brands, and sizes, all around 28", I just have to figure out what to do with them all now, I'm thinking of making a pop up blind out of them! :)
I have 25 mainly carbon.
About 2 dozen, I make them as I need them.
For the Zona & Sky Hawk I have right around 36 - 40.
My grandfathers Grizzly I have around 24.
I have 20 arrows I used for indoor ready for my next 39-41# bow.
I have 26 Cedar Shafts that I'm slowly going to work into some shootable arrows "one day."
Around 106.
My 3 year old has around 6-8 arrows.
My 9 year old has 25 arrows.
My wife has around 18 arrows.
If I look hard enough I may find at least a dozen or two of arrows or shafts that I don't have a use for "yet."
With out counting I would say I have a least 500 arrows of some kind. My wife just shakes her head when she comes in my room.
doug77
Never counted them, but a bunch. Thet tend to build up in 45 years.
about about 5 dozen. Got rid of 100 woods this fall and shoot mostly carbon now.
4 dozen carbons for each of 4 bows. More on the way for sure.
alot....
I'm with greg!
"alot"!!!!!!!!
Dont know for sure, but its 1 less after blowing 1 thru a buck about 3 hours ago
I don't know, but I have bunches of each type, but I only have about 6 dzn that I shoot.
Probably should sell some.
buckets full
A bunch
One dozen for each bow, so 4 dozen.
After 40 plus years,TO MANY!LOL Around 500 or so.
If any has some that will match up to a 50 lb bow and want to sell send mr a pm,thanks Larry.
5 or 6 dozen I'd say right off the top of my head.
about 7 dozen and counting!
i have a dozen.
in a few weeks im going to order another dozen but they will be heavier arrows for hunting.
Three or four dozen, minus a few dead soldiers. I'm about to make a new set for my new bow.
To many...and i need to buy more!
I got about 25 dz.
I order about 10 dozen every month,, just in case......
I have about a 100 full length 2216 shafts with vanes on them.
There was a sporting goods store getting out of the archery business nearby and they were selling them for a buck a piece I bought every one that size they had
that should last me a life time I just cut the vanes of and re-fletch them with feathers
I have many bows from 45# to 73#,so I have more them 300 arrows.I have wood, aluminum and carbons.
15 right now, but want to build some more before next season...
Aparently I have an arrow problem-as in not enough!!! Down to 10 after I made multiple offerings to the arrow spirits during hunting and 3-D shoots. Have a doz that should be here tomorrow. Guess I should whip the credit card out and buy another dozen..or 2 doz...or 4 doz....
Hmmm.
A bunch...... No more than that.
A lot....... No, more than that.
Think, Think, Think. (**Winnie the Pooh imitation**)
Aha!! A plethora! That's it a plethora!
One left and it's bent!!!!
3 dozen with broadheads, 2 5-gallon buckets full of mismatched stump arrows, 7 quivers full of different target arrows, about 50 misc. raw shafts
not near enough, always room for more
326 not counting kill arrows.......exactly.
1,400, 285.
around 100 with 36 shafts coming - not counting wife and kids, keep trying to get it down to a reasonable number but can't do it
50 or so for me. Another 30 for the kids. 80ish in total. Always declining from breakage or loss.
Way too many to bother counting.
Two Dozen at least at any given time but I have another 3 dozen ordered to see what I'm gonna shoot out of my new bow
4 that i shoot/ hunt with.
250 plus fletched and at least another 150 bare shafts ready to be crafted into arrows. It sure is fun maing them but just can't shoot them all.
around 100 with probably half of those needing some kind of work.
I have 2dz. ready for hunting. I have 4dz. for
3d shoots and 5dz shafts. I make them during the winter for something to do.
I am just starting my traditional journey, and also just got married so I won't be buying arrows for a good long time unfortunately. I am using my grandfathers old aluminum arrows, I have Jo idea what they are, but he has 3 I use. If anybody is feeling generous or wants to trade, even 1 arrow would help. Wood/carbon/aluminum it doesn't really matter, I just need something that shoots straight and consistent out of my 55lb longbow!
Alot

I only have 4 woodies left for the bow that I'm hunting with this year!!!!!!! I do have some more on the way.
I only have 10 on hand at the moment, Usually I replenish in the spring. a better question for me would be how many do you break, bend or lose in a year.
If they are Autumn Orange alumiumn one hell of a lot.
Got a couple dozen. If I get under that, I get worried :D
Jason
not enough

A brand new traditional shooter with three arrows??
That's just not acceptable!! You have a PM Iowabowhunter. Let's see what we can do to fix that ;)
I shoot mostly Gold Tip arrows, and I sent them I believe 73 nocks for warranty replacement about 2 months ago. So with all the other arrows laying around, and without counting, should be well over a hundred.
I have about 30 or so. I keep at least 12 for my tomahawk. and 6 for the other 2 bows I shoot a little.
Arrows are like hats...too many to count and never enough.
Like others have stated...just ask my wife!
That said I can think of the following:
2 dozen Easton Autumn Orange 2018 FL Shafts
1 dozen CE PileDriver 350 black FL Shafts
1 dozen Beman MFX BoneCollecto 400 FL Shafts
1 dozen Beman MFX Max-4 500 FL Shafts
1 dozen Easton Axis 400 FL Shafts
Probably 4 dozen arrows made up for different bows.
Josh
3 or 4 dozens... some wood, some alu(2219 that I try to get rid of), some are carbon... half are ready to shoot... the other not...
Need a spine testing thing to know what they are!!
between the different flavors I'd say about 200 in different stages of development....
><>
Glenn
I've got between 25 and 26 doz. For some reason I always seem to need more.
Obviously not enough, because I keep buying more.
Let's just say more than 1 and let it go at that.
More than I will ever need,LOL.
I honestly dont know. I have a bucket full of woodies for various weight bows in the shop and maybe another 3 dz carbons laying around the house...PR
