I need to simplify my hunting.Do I really need eight pairs of pants a dozen shirts five jackets? Ok theirs too much stuff in hear.I think Ill keep my two ghillies for sprinng and fall and my woolens for the winter. Is it just me or wouldn't be easier to throw on a pair of chinos and a flannel shirt and when I arrive at my hunting destination I slip on the ghillie. Or maybe :knothead: just hunt in the chinos and flannel.

I agree. I'll be going through my stuff in the next couple of days. Keep an eye out in the classifieds.

I hunt different critters in different places at different times of the year. I need all my stuff. ''Take care of your equipment/gear, and it will take care of you," I say. :bigsmyl:

I'm down-sizeing too. Too much stuff. I got into trad cause the minimalistic idea appealed to me. When I get back from vacation in the next few days, you can expect to see my adds up as well.
-
There was a time when my clothes got out of hand. I had so much it was what I would wear during days I didn't hunt. Now I have about 3 shirts and pants. HATS that is my weakness. I must have 50 around the house, sheds and garage. I forgot I have 1 lite jacket.
-
I have a lot of clothes also, but not sure about parting with them. Now some of my other junk....maybe.
-
One of the big attractions to trad is the reduced "stuff" factor. I'm always looking way to decrease the quantity and increase the quality. Consider me on your side!

Must be a virus going around. I find myself hunting is solid earth tone colored clothes most all the time anymore, even in trees. Works great. I know I'm not a walking advertisement and that is the way I like it. Don't want to be grouped with the bozo's on TV

I gave my closet full of camo to my nephew a few years ago. I just hunt in my plaids and Carharts now.
-
I'm trying to do the same thing, got kids that are getting hunting clothes and need to make some room. Hope they grow into some of it,it's hard to let go.
-
Just packed up a big bag full of clothes to give to a friends son .Im going to put some pics together and post somethings on the classifieds this week

Stuff is good.

I hear ya. As goofy as it sounds I've got 2 KOM shirts that I haven't worn in a few years. I usually stick to my wool pants and flannels til it gets cold. Then I just wear a down vest under a heavy flannel.
-
i cant say anything on this subject. ill be hunting in my dickies work pants , and maybe my bright green hoodie over a t shirt and sweatshirt.
if any of you is feeling generous , ill take a quiver and some blunt arrowheads...lol..
now fishing stuff i have entirely too much of...that was last years new hobby...

I’m always thinking the economy is going to tank worse than it recently has and I'm going to need barter material. Therefore, I have a real hard time getting rid of anything. This past year I sold a bow, but then I bought it back.

Ok I started posting with pics

Definately need to keep it all. That allows for good layering.

I have a ROOM full of clothes and still looking. YES, too much stuff. BILL

Well, I'm still new to this. But I looked at all the clothes and stuff I could/should buy and I saw a lot of dollar signs. Not knowing where to start led to procrastination. And so far I seem to have done well enough with carharts or the like in the earth tones.
I figure if I'm going to collect too much stuff with this new hobby, I'd rather start with too many bows (and associated arrows, etc...)

You mean the ones on the "outhouse channel?"
-
And I thought I was the only one! I have hunting clothes for every weather condition possible here in PA... or North America for that matter. I just don't enjoy being out if I'm not comfortable.

HEY GUYS... It's o.k. to have a lot of outdoor clothes... especially if you're like me and hardly have any "dress up" clothes!
