Wife got me a KME broadhead kit....outstanding! My 11 y/o daughter is getting her first new bow and 1/2 dozen arrows when I pick her up this morning. Since I taught her, one of her cousins, and the neighbor boy to shoot about a month ago that's all they want to do.....get random text messages during the week..."when can I come shoot the bow again"...lol. No different than my enthusiasm at that age....just something about trad archery/bowhunting to a kid. My daughter hit the center of the target twice the first day I was teaching her.....turned to me and asked "now can I go kill a deer?".

At the risk of sounding pig headed I'd like to say I "got trad wise" a room full of stuff that has been growing for years. Being fortunate and married to a wonderful woman is an under statement. So...
Gonna spend this year using what I have and be thankful for Gods grace. After all, material items are just that. Our human condition and the ability to enjoy our bows and arrows is what the gift of life is all about.
Merry Christmas!

The best (and most trad) Trad gift I got for Christmas was an outstanding gift (and outstanding bow) from one of our fellow members here at tradgang. An Osage self bow made by "Stiks-n-strings". Sticks made it to be a part of his primitive gear to hunt deer during the 2010 season. Stiks doesn't sell his bows but seldom keeps them for too long, as he feels if he gets to liking one too much - he might not get busy and make another. IMO this one could perhaps have done that to him. It is a great bow and I love it and will cherish it. It shoots like a dream and as soon as we get some weather that these old bones can stand for more than necessaries, I will get some pictures of it into a thread here in the powwow forum. Thank you so much, my friend.
My Daughter, Lois, did give me a trad (to me) sweat shirt (I wear those a lot), in a real nice dark brown color with a beautiful Buck and Doe painted on it, and the words White Tail Country. I'm gonna be spending a lot of time between now and next season looking for that "Country" too - LOL. We had a great Christmas with family and friends/neighbors.
Daughter got me a pair of Cabela's Wooltimate camo pants with windshear. Not exactly trad but the closest I got.
Bought myself a pre-owned Chaparral Alpine Recurve Bow! 60"51#@28". Can't wait till it arrives. Got some Bass Pro gift cards....KYArcher
1 Dozen arrows, half dozen flu-flu's, New Art LAHA DVD, TBM subscription, TBM T-shirts, Recurve case, broadheads, The Adventures of Fred Bear book and A Man made of Elk, by my favorite objectivist bowhunter, David Peterson. So with the help of TBM and 3-Rivers, my wife set me up pretty nice!
Of course, I just got my new 3-rivers catalog yesterday, and those new Bears sure have me thinking!
Well its not "Trad Gear" but it will be used to shoot traditional at, but I had to add some Christmas accent to it.

The best part will be today when my brother shows uo. He's fortunate to have a decent chunk of land / space....but he doesn't have a bow! I'm giving him my Martin Savanna and bought him everything he'll need to start shooting. Doubt he'll take up hunting, but I can 100% see him shooting and stumping a lot.
I got a nice Woolrich hat, which will see some time in the woods for late season, and a couple Widow gift certificates....which will take some of the sting out of the call I'll be making to Nixa later this week.....a second PSR will soon be inbound.
