Awe, come on. Not another one of these tease threads. I feel like it's my bow. It's already bad enough that I'm bowless for a few days....

Yep. Black Widow has shipped my new PAX. She is 60", RH, 52# @ 28", Asbell Grip, tillered split finger. The limbs are Yew tapers under clear class. No veneers here. The riser is Curly Bubinga and Yew with Curly Bubinga overlays.
"Thank you" to the fine folks at Black Widow bows. I had several conversations with Toby, Roger and John during my visit to Nixa for the Instinctive Shooting Clinic they put on last spring with Fred Asbell and Ken Beck. Then still more questions for Toby and Ken at the Compton Rendezvous about woods combinations and shooting characteristics, differences in bow lengths, etc. I tried as many Black Widow bow models, grips, and lengths and weights as I could at both the shooting clinic and the rendezvous.
I then had the privilege of visiting The Rosewood Shop in Halltown, MO. and spending some time with Michael Pyeatt. Rosewood is a wood supplier for Black Widow Bows and I believe other bowyers and fine wood craftsmen. Together Michael and I selected the woods for my bow, after all if you want a beautiful bow you have to start with beautiful wood. And Rosewood has racks and racks of beautiful woods. I can't thank Michael enough for helping me through the daunting task of picking just the right woods to build the bow that up to that time only existed in my imagination.
Beautiful wood placed in the hands of bow building experts like the crew at Black Widow is the formula for success.

Unbelievable!!!I love how you presented her and kept us all in suspense like kids waiting to get to open a present.Quite possible to be one of the most stunning bows Ive ever laid eyes upon.Congratulations and Merry Christmas.

I trust my trip to Nixa next week will yeild something good although as yet I am not sure it will be of that magnitude.....
Brian, that is by and far the best looking Widow I've seen to date! That bow is absolutely stunning. Congrats on a great Christmas gift. :clapper:
That is one stunning BW! I love the looks of one piece 'curves!
What a BEAUTY!!
Wow, those PA's are my favorite.
Oh BABY! I hope you are driving to bear camp, that will look real good sitting on about 4" of jet black hair!
Fantastic selection of woods and colors there. I miss going to Mike's shop. He used to live about 20 minutes away.
I hope you love it, I know I certainly do. That is a beauty! I might keep that wood combo in mind for my next one. Congrats and Enjoy

Nice! For some reason, I've never had the itch for a Widow, but the ones that have been popping up the past few weeks really have me thinking....hmmm
Very nice Bow...
Great choices Brian! Can't wait to shoot it this spring. Now to just gotta shoot a matching bear, or like Steve said...it'll look good with black!

Great looking bow and I loved the pictures! This was a rare one where I had my wife come over and look at the pictures with me.
She knows I'm a nut when it comes to bows and sometimes I have to prove to her that I'm not the only.....whoops, sorry! :D
Very nice lets see some action photos. :archer2:
Congrats, absolutely beautiful bow!!!
Congrates on the awesome bow. Love the look of those 1 piece Widows.
Very nice widow.
Yew is, to me, one of the finest woods used in bows. Also partial to Osage, but it's hard to beat yew. Great wood choices on a great bow!!! Enjoy!!!
OOOOOOHHHH!
man........
looks like ya did good!
Congrats! What a killer bow!
What an incredibly beautiful bow! I've been drooling on the keyboard from the first picture.
The PA IMHO has been alone at the top of BW's most aesthetic design. The PCH has finally provided the PA some company.
Beautiful bows - those PA's.
Congrats!
Thanks everyone. I really appreciate al the compliments. I got my first widow, a used silver anniv edition about 23 years ago. I sold it shortly after I got it when I was a bit cash short and have always wished I had her back.
I knew I wanted another Widow someday that would hopefully make me forget the first one. I think this little baby fills the void... but I don't know if you ever forget your first Widow.
Beautiful bow.
That brings a tear to my eye.
Very nice!!!
Outstanding- I really like your combination of wood. Happy Holidays!
Very nice bow! Love BW's design. Enjoy!
Nice. I sure do love the looks of those PAX's. I tried my hand at a BW PCH takedown, but we didnt agree with each other. I think the PAX will be my last attempt with the Widows.
BTW nice range. I think if you opened the closet and shot from there, you would be right inside whitetail range.
