Just to let those who followed my post the area I was hunting had some really big bucks in there.I hunted it only on perfect conditions,and as the leaves fell from the trees the area seemed to shrink in size.yes the big bucks gave me shooting oportunities,but I was always thinking what will happen if they leave the property after my shot.I really enjoyed having bucks bigger then I have seen in over 40 years of bowhunting,but never took a shot, I guess its the what if that got me. FYI i would have shot them and dealt with it as it unfolded.A well placed shot should drop them with in 40-50yrds.Take advantage of this time to talk to whoever owns the property around you and make nice.A little yard work for recovery rights on one of them big boys is worth it. Hey your in Jersey if you want I will take that chance for you.Ha Ha.

I have friends who live in an urban area over-run with deer. The state & local university is darting them with prophyilactic hypos and the deer are literally eating the bushes on the lawns of houses in 60 x 120 ft city lots. My friends have repeatedly told me to come sit on their porch - the neighbors all say it's OK. I have not seen any bucks like those, however!
But the same thing. What if it runs and expires in the road or some PETAphile's yard or causes a car accident stumbling out into the street. Just not worth it. I've had heart-shot deer run 200 yards. So that could be eight houses, with blood sprayed on how many cars, pool covers, sandboxes?
But it does make one think "What if?"

That one with the tall tines looks like one a bunch of us see in the median of the GSP at 98 its a wide rack with tall tines like that one you have. I am outside of AC if you ever want to shoot.
I hunt in the suburbs and there are huge deer here. I have to pass up a lot of shots because you don't want to wound them, even with 12 gauge rifle slugs I won't shoot past 40 yards. I have killed quite a few does, some Turkeys, plenty of squirrels, right in the middle of town. I would like to hunt right behind the Mall and actually park in Macy's lot but I have to get permission. The thing about hunting in town is to be discreet. I get bothered less in town hunting than when I go to the country to hunt, no 4 wheelers and less hunters.
We have some great hunting places in our town, with a lot of huge deer. Only problem, it is patroled by the local police. So they are the only ones that can hunt LOL. Guess I could join the force.
