Well, it's been a long time coming. Probably ordered this bow 14 or 16 months ago. I've been holding out for the right wood, and it finally came together. I figured the true Silvertip junkies might be interested in seeing it. I received this one-piece Silvertip from the Windauers just a day ago. Today I shot a few pictures. Please forgive: my composition and lighting are not ideal. Some pics used flash, while others didn't. I'll let you guys guess at the woods...
Feel free to ask any details you'd like.
I've got additional pics, and might post them later if anyone is interested....

Riser shedua and limbs Koa? Looks like a Cocobolo stripe?
Man, absolutely stunning. Good for you!
I think I have a pretty good guess...looks great Kevin!
How about some specs Kevin? Most beautiful bow!! One piece is my favorite.
Kevin,I bet the riser is Macassar.
Not sure about the stripe and the veneers because the light.mmm If the limbs are Koa they are darn good, but it could be also some kind of Cocobolo, also if beth has never sent me a pic of such wood on the limbs.Very nice sheep overlay.
All I see are boxes with red x's in them. :banghead:
very nice Tip :readit:
Nice. Specs?
I'm guessing macassar ebony riser and curly koa veneers. Great looking bow...Mike

Awesome bow :notworthy:
Now That is a pretty bow. I'd guess macassar in the riser as well. :archer2:
Nice bow, looks like a great job on the checkering. Congratulations.
Earl
That is a dandy, love the checkering.
Macassar riser, Curly Koa limb veneers is my guess. Whatever it is, it's another Windauer masterpiece.
The horn overlay is really nice.
Now I can see them. Dont know what happened earlier. Wow! That grip looks like it would put the arrow right on top of your hand. Could you post pics of the tips? Is that polished sheephorn? I have two of Daves TD's but would love to have a one piece. Maybe someday...
I knew all of you guys were good! The limbs are koa. The riser is a pretty rare piece of shedua, with a cocobolo lam down the middle. Polished sheep horn tips and front overlay. The grip area has a hidden compartment which holds an extra string, compass, neck knife and....
okay, kidding about that compartment thing.
This bow is so different from the TDs I own. Much more delicately sculpted than pics would suggest. It is very light in the hand. 60" bow. 54# @ 28". More pics to follow.
Wow! That is a beauty; and worth the wait!

"Silvertip Proves Worth The Wait"
They usually do.
Where at in buckeye country?
WOW! That is a beauty for sure Kevin!
Seeing that bow, oh dangit, looks like I need to make another call to Montana!
What will be your arrow set up?
"What will be your arrow set up?"
Not just sure yet. I need to talk to my hunting partner. I think this bow is screaming for a new set of custom woods.
That is one of the prettiest bows I've ever seen. I'll bet she'll really be something to shoot.
Dave
Beautiful !!!!!! :clapper:
WOW, that is a nice bow!!!
Beautiful bow Kevin. I've had a Silvertip takedown, but I've always wanted a one-piece.
Kevin, your going to have to give us an update on how this baby shoots. If it shoots half as good as it looks, I'd say your going to be okay. :archer2:
A dozen elite arrows all tricked out would be awesome. The bow is stunning.
The Shedua and Koa are both as pretty as any I have ever seen, and I have seen some really pretty pieces of those woods. Of course, Dave always builds a great looking bow. Congratulations on a very special Silvertip.
Allan
Yes it is the prettiest Shedua I have ever seen.
Thanks guys...
I'm pretty sure most guys look at the usual shedua and don't think much about it. Some of it is just monotone in appearance. Maybe that's why a great piece of shedua is such a thing of beauty. I also love shedua for its light physical weight. This bow weighs just slight ounces more than my 2pc TD longbows.
Koa...now there's a wood you just have to hold in your hands to appreciate.
Both woods strike me as unusually beautiful. You are correct, the shedua on one of my bows was mostly bland although a nice "chocolate" color. I do appreciate the note about the weight of shedua.
You saw the PM I sent you. The reason I got the woods correct on your bow is because I had been sent a picture of your bow and another very nice Macassar 1-piece with tigerwood limbs by Beth as I'm trying to decide what woods for my TD.
amazing bow, love everything, just all works together very nicely.
Soooooo NICE! Beautiful! What a nice present to yourself! I love how narrow the riser is at the sight window...elegant and refined.
Kris
Wow, Beautiful!
Them "Tips" are surely some of the best "Curves" out there. This one is a looker also!!
Wooozer, handsome bow Kevin.
Ernest
Beauty! Congratulations on the fine bow. I love the grip on those bows.
OUTSTANDING !!!!
Beautiful looking bow. Have you got a photo of it showing it's total length and fully strung?
A beauty for sure. Enjoy it!
Kevin, that is one very nice looking Silvertip!
Kevin,
What a beautiful bow... congrats. But I do have a question, did your mother drop you on your head as a baby ??? got that purty Schafer laying on bricks and mortar !! :campfire:
Froggy
Froggy,
Yeah...I turned it over after the pics and noticed a bunch of little scars and scratches on it. Never ocurred to me I might damage it. I guess it'll be okay...I need a "beater bow" for carping next spring anyway.
Actually...Though the pics don't prove it, the bow was not touching the bricks anywhere. I had it supported just above them. She's as pretty as a spotted fawn, still.
:p
Kevin knows his brics,he has already taken dozens of pics there!
AWESOME bow.
WOW !!
That is some awesome wood.
One of the nicest bows I've ever seen. Maybe some day!
Beautiful bow, Kevin!
yep, I think those are fake bricks bought from the "soft-as-a-baby's-butt" fake brick store.
I confess. I photoshopped the whole thing. I don't even have the bow!
:biglaugh:
SWEEEEETT! :notworthy:
I would love to have a one piece Silvertip, and that one would easily "fill the bill". Maybe someday...... I'm not saying there is anything wrong with my take down, but for beautiful lines, that one piece can't be beat.

That tree must have been hit by lightning :biglaugh:
Another nice Silvertip!
Either that Silvertip of Creekwood's is upside down, or the rest of the world is.
Allan
Interesting limb bolts on your bow Creekwood. Looks like knurled knobs into burrs?
Roy those are the Thunderhorn quiver mounts you are seeing.
Ok, that makes more sense! That's what I get for skipping the engineering class back in Lafayette, IN.
Thanks KY TJ.
My God that is a beautiful bow!!!!!!!!!!
