Killed this Hog after climbing down out of my stand at dark.Pig from Thursday PM. I had climbed up on some acorns and seen many deer but no shots. I climbed down at 535 pm and when I got to bottom of tree and unmounted I set my bow down about 8 feet away, took my backpack off and set it down behind me to start undoing the stand off the tree. As I took the first clip off of the stand I heard what I thought was more deer coming from the same direction that most of them came from. I decided to throw my binocs up and see what they were. I saw I put them up I noticed 4 large black blobs, keep in mind that it was the time of day were your binocs picked up more light than your eyes so I could not see them at 50 yds without my binocs but I could hear them coming. As I lowered the binocs to try to see them and raised them again I heard one do the grunt that pigs do. I raised the binocs and noticed that they were pigs and they were coming directly towards me. Wind was good and they cant see very well I new that I could take 2 big steps forward, grab an arrow from behind me at the same time and hide behind the tree that my bow was leaning up against. I did all of this in just a few seconds , somehow got my arrow knocked correctly. They were now at 15 yds and closing but I had correctly positioned myself behind the tree for cover and decided that I was going to let them get as close as possible not even thinking about what would happen when I stuck one of them with this recurve and 300 grain broadhead. Well when I heard them right on the other side of tree grunting and eating I decided to draw , step out from behind tree. When I did this all in one motion I picked out the biggest one and she was about 6 to 8 steps away and looked like a refrigerator standing in front of me. All in one motion I picked a spot and released. I heard the arrow hit and she jumped, squealed ran 15 yds and died. I could not believe that she did not run but 15 yards in a circle and died literally 5 steps from where I was standing. After looking at entrance and exit it seems as though she was slightly quartering toward me and it went in where her head meets body and exited behind the opposite front shoulder, complete pass thru. Exciting to say the least. Also killed doe Sunday morning at 15 steps, complete pass thru died at 40yds from shot.
Shot with 60@28 Carbon Foam Morrison Shawnee(borrowed)with a 300gr Big Jim 3.Both the doe and pig were eaten up by this head.

Super hog! Congrats!
Thanks guys, like is said it was dark so the spot that i picked was the entire PIG. I was not sure if he was broadside or quartering so i put it towards the front of his body. That hole you see is right where the jaw/neckline meet the body and it exited right behind the opposite shoulder. Big Jim 3 passed thru like a hot Knife thru butter.
Nice work.
